Hope me quoting this doesn't disturb this thread, but I can't help it, otherwise I'll lose my train of thought.

I first started watching porn in the late '70's and I will never forget when I heard one of my favorite songs in a porn movie. The song was Spanish Galiant (?) , by Lucifers Friend. It was in a movie based on the Love Boat, I think it was called the Sex Boat.

Anyhow, somewhere along the way I made a tape of good porn music, .

Was funny to plop that in, and watch people get into the music and all the sudden hear all this moaning and shit going on in the background.

Sorry for this rude interuption, Back to your regulary scheduled program :D

speaking of the Beatles:

By the way, John Lennon also wrote "Yer Blues" a very good blues song off the Beatles or White Album.

Paul McCartney's best bass playing was on "Dear Prudence"

The best original blues song, "Red House" by Jimi Hendrix
I have some early FleetwoodMac recordings that you may be interestd in...

6-9-68 @ caraousel Ballroom soundboard recording, and

1-2-70 @ Fillmore West aud recording thats vg/ex

Speaking of Yer Blues, if so inclined check out the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. Sweet, sweet. Featruring Jetro Tull. The Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, Yoko Ono and The Dirty Mac and the Stones. It was in fact a circus they performed in '68, London.

Yer Blues includes interview bewtween Mick and Jonn, playing includes Mitch Mitcxhell, Eric Clapton and Keith Richard.

Hey Chris, it's good to here from ya... don't mind us ... these threads and our postings always seem to get mutated anyway. They go off topic alot and most times they come back... but that's not to say that that is always going to happen...sometimes they just stay off on tangents permanently.

I had heard that Lou Reed did a a whole lot of porn music soundtracks in the early 1960s to support his musical talents before he formed the Velvet Underground. He continued with these soundtracks into the 1970s as well.

Oh, and by the way, thanks for bringing up the nostaglia -- as that is one of the my very first original Johnny sightings -- it may actually be my second posting of all time!! :D  :D

Yes, I do like Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwan a whole lot. It's just too bad that Peter had too many bad LSD trips and had to turn to God, especially on his song "Oh Well." But I guess you have to when you're writing pretty much all of the group's material for the band and those blues songs sure get to you eventually, especially his nightmarish "The Green Manalishi" about his meeting the Devil. Jeremy of course, became a cultist, being a "Child of God" and Danny had a nervous breakdown, busting up his Gibson guitar, actually did a "Peter Townshend" on it - right before going up on stage.

I'm happy that John McVie and Mick Fleetwood were able to keep the band afloat despite the difficulties in the early 1970s. With the two bands, performing as Fleetwood Mac . Yes, their attorneys got a injunction and a court order filed in the English courts, which was honored by the courts here in the states - to stop Clifford Davis their ex-manager from calling themselves Fleetwood Mac as this bogus band also enrolled former members Bob Weston and Dave Walker. This injunction actually a desist order precluded them from performing at all - then Mick Fleetwood having to devote a awful amount of his personal time into the inner business dealings of the band, they had to re-sign with Warner Brothers and he did all of the negotiations. Lucky about that, right, as Warner Brothers/Reprise Records would have been out $$ millions $$ due to Fleetwood Mac and and then Rumours being released in 1975 and 1976. Then to his personal bankruptcies. He did have some marital problems at the time too with Jenny Boyd as well ... (yes, she at one time was George Harrison's sister-in-law. As Patti is her sister)... his marriage to Jenny did survive this troubled period. And all the other turmoil and their final relocation from England to California - as this was during the lean Bob Welch years, before Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham joined on.

Hi Folks, Simon here. New to the site, just wanted to say hi. A little from me:

The Beatles over The Stones any day of the week. I love em both, but what the Beatles did in under 10 years changed music 4ever.....

Cricket over Baseball. (Ashes back to England in 09)

Dave (rokker): I bow in you're presence, u are the luckiest sod on the planet...... :-)

Man Utd 4ever

LeBron to win first NBA title this year, and many more to come. But for me, there's only one number: 23 - and as his statue at the United Centre says: The best there ever was, the best there ever will be.....

America's greatest ever band: REM

Thanks,
Simon.

Thanks Dave.

Cup final only had one team trying to win it again (05 final vs. Arsenal was the same), they got a late goal after we dominated and won it. A wise man once said: Cups are temporary, class is permanent!

Well, I can only pray my membership on here gets the same results  , but seriously fella, godd on ya, and all the best with Vicky. (PS: I've not long joined Rebecca Jessop's site, so maybe Vicky or your good self could put a good word in for me) :)

New band alert:
Silversun Pickups
Caught them on Jools Holland and they are gonna be big, trust me.....

Hi Sig.....

We had a good time with Rebecca down in Spain. I understand she does some stuff in London with a private adult strip thing (adultparties I think) where you could go meet her. There is some live b/g, g/g stuff on Vicky's site. I am not sure but I don't think there is any b/g stuff on her site. I love the look of her site though (although I have not actually seen the contents of it.) Rebecca is apparently coming to the states (where we are for the next couple of months) so who knows.......

Hope you like Vicky's site and post as often as you like. Vicky is on the site a lot and love's members to post.

We are doing camshows this week since Vicky was laid up with a knee surgery so make sure you come and check out the festivities....

I've joined Rebecca's yahoo group too (as well as Vicky's of course) and that's given me details of her private show's when shes back in London, so fingers crossed, i'll get to see those amazing boobs in the flesh

Give my best wishes to Vicky as she gets better, i've sent her a private message but if she's recovering she don't need to reply.

If I do get to meet Rebecca 'll be sure to say hi from you guy's, no problems

Peter Green:
He live's not too far away from me, and a few years back did a small low key tour with just him and his guitar performing in small venue's.

I have too say he was still very good, and my dad being a massive Mac fan, was glad I could join him to see him play live.

But it was certainly a very good anti-drugs advert too, as he visible struggled at some points during the night, but it was well worth seeing a guitar legend at work, something like 25years since he last played in front of an audience.

The Who: had to add to someone referring to The Stones Rock and Roll circus, if you own or buy the dvd 'The kids are alright ' by The Who it includes their performance from that show and it has to be one if their greatest. Brian Jones had nearly ruined the whole show by turning up drunk, so The Who came out and blew everyone away!!!!!!

Hi Simon, Welcome to the board!! It's good to hear from you...Thank you for the updates on Peter ... by the way, in Peter's honor ... that's my new avatar ... he's seen here wearing his 1959 Gibson Les Paul ... the picture is a bit dated taken around 1968.
