I've seen more movies since the last time I chimed in here .... let's see if I can remember them all !!!

Saw We Are Your Friends (The new Zach Effron movie where he's a DJ) bc one of my kiddos wanted to see it. Cute movie. Predictable. Lots of drugs.

Saw No Escape couple weeks ago as a Free Screening ... Edge of your seat thriller at times ... hand over mouth, heart beating, mind fuck at times.

Sinister 2 (After I paid to watch the original Sinister on Netflix movies) ... Horror movies don't scare me, but I found it as good as the original.

Straight Outta Compton was awesome. Especially so considering I grew up listening to them all.

Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation - Also a good movie. What you'd expect if you've seen the others.

I think that's the list of what I've seen most recently :)

Saw Maze Runner The Scorch Trials.

It was like a remake of the Walking Dead ... on speed ... much different than the first ... and there will be more in the future.
So far, I preferred the first.

Going to see The Perfect Guy (or whatever it's called) tonight with my friend. Will let you know what I think.

The Perfect Guy was exactly what I expected ... seemingly perfect guy ... turns crazy stalker. Seen one, seen them all.... completely predictable, but a good movie anyway.

Treated kids to Hotel Transylvania tonight ... super cute. Only just watched a part of the first one a few weeks ago. I'm sure there was a correlation between them... but it's not one of those movies where you needed to see the first to enjoy the 2nd.

Ummm, not sure why that is. Maybe you, ummm, just like to, ummm, say "ummm" a lot.
:rotffl: Ok, Sorry, lol.

I usually go to the first show of the day here. I dislike all of the crowd noise, people talking, etc. So if I go to the first, there's hardly ever anyone there, maybe 2 or 3 or 4 other people. Makes it quite enjoyable (except no discount on popcorn, lol.) Of course, with a family that would all be different, and that would be fine. But, by myself? Early it is.

It's funny, because in normal life .. I don't say "UMMM" a thousand times ... however, while making this review, kids were running up and down the hall, smashing things into the door, I had ZERO concentration on what I was doing and was a total mess!! Oh well ... it is what it is :)

This was the first showing of the day here as well ... and I'm not at all exaggerating when I say there were 3 ppl there with oxygen masks , several with canes and a handful in wheelchairs .... looking around, you'd think it was opening night of some much sought after film that brought out everyone!!! But ... it was just "The Intern" ... lol!

I enjoyed The Intern also. Like Charlee said, it had some very funny moments. I also like to go to the matinees when it is cheaper & less crowded.

I saw The Martian today. I thought it was one of the best movies of the year so far. Thoughtful & funny. Matt Damon was great in it.

Great news!!!! I'm going to see it this week and am very excited about it. I'm supposed to be going with a friend to see it, but he just got back from a cruise so he's short on funds til after payday so I'll be seeing it ... with a member actually :) Then I'll probably go see it with my friend when he can go.

I saw The Walk today. Was a good movie for 3D, especially the scenes up high when they up on top of the twin towers. Amazing that they could recreate them so well. On a side note, I paid $14.00 to see it & it sounded like some in the back of the theater was sleeping & snoring, easy to hear because there was not many people. A lot of money in my opinion for a place to take a nap.

I'd love to say I've never fallen asleep at a movie ... but I have, and then it was not even an expensive nap, but a doubly expensive movie .... because I had to buy another ticket to actually WATCH the movie! I fell asleep at Interview With a Vampire ... a million years ago ... was the first time I was out of the house after my 1st child was born ... it was dark, the movie was LONG, and I was exhausted...

I'm unsure if I'm interested in seeing The Walk though I'd expect it to be a good movie. I don't like heights and I get sick to my tummy watching scenes like that lol!!

On a related note, Charlee, there's a "ride" at Knott's Berry Farm (or used to be) in California that was a half-dome theater. Looked like half a golf ball sitting on the ground. Inside you stood at a railing across the center of the theater. Then the movie showed on the entire other half, so that the watcher was totally immersed in the movie. Then they'd show a movie showing things like acrobatic airplanes and roller coasters. Also maybe a train going thru pretty country, a lot of scenic things, too. It was like being right out there.

Especially the acrobatic airplanes and roller coaster segments would pretty easily make people sick, or at least pretty woozy. I was watching once, and was near heaving, myself. So I went to the back of the room and sat down. While there, I could watch the movie and the people at the railing. Funniest thing I ever saw. When the roller coaster would reach the top and start down, all the people were standing straight. Then, when it hit bottom and curved to the left, all the people would lean to the left. Then, when it curved right, all the people would lean to the right. Was the funniest thing I ever saw. They all looked like stalks of wheat swaying in the wind.

That's absolutely HYSTERICAL and I can picture it!!!! That would definitely make my belly flip flop. I prefer the real thing when it comes to roller coasters.

If you love to laugh and want a movie that never gets old no matter how many times you watch it do yourself a favor and check out Grandma's Boy. It's only 90 minutes. Watch and either thank me or laugh at your waste of time. Either way it's totally worth it.

I'll look it up :) Thank you!!

I've actually seen what seems like a million movies since I last wrote in here. Forgot I had a movie thread going !!!

Last night saw "The Witch" ... all I'm going to say about this is ... it's not scary ... it's a bit slow and "Interesting" ... that's it. I literally cannot comment further unless or until anyone who wants to see it has done so.

Saw Deadpool. Loved it. Funny. Action. Nuff said.

Saw Concussion. Was exactly what you'd expect. Heard it tanked in the theater. Was a long movie. Slow, but covered something important.

Saw In The Heart of the Sea ... went faster than you'd thing for being a long movie. Well done.

Saw How to Be Single - went in expecting a comedy as per the previews. BULLSHIT. Sure, there were funny parts here and there ... but more or less spent the whole movie crying my face off. NO FUN!

Saw Sisters. HYSTERICAL. Loved it

Saw Daddy's Home. Didn't find it as funny as I expected it to be.

Saw Zoolander 2. Funny. As expected. Mindless way to spend some time.

Saw The Revenant: LONG ... could have easily truncated it ... still a good watch if you have 3 hours to kill.

Saw Hail Caesar. Better than I expected. Went in expecting pure crap. Was pleasantly surprised it wasn't.

Saw The Boy. CREEPY... not scary ... but CREEPY! With a decent twist

Saw The Big Short. FANTASTIC. Highly recommend

Saw Spectre - was kinda bored, especially for a BOND film!

Saw Hunger Ganes Mockingjay Part 2 ... was what you'd expect. Saw somethings coming, Didn't see others.

Saw Hateful Eight. Could have truncated it as well. Didn't need to be as long as it was.

I THINK that covers it HAHAHHHAH!! Don't remember which one I spoke about last .... there could be several more for all I know!~
