OK chaps - so here is a true story!
About a year after we got married, my wife and I went to an RSPCA dog shelter and got a great rescued dog called Sally. I have to admit that she was more my better half's dog than mine - she only ever bit me!
One afternoon in the heat of passion whilst in the missionary position (you need to picture the scene to appreciate the story), I'm having a fantastic time - eyes closed and concentrating on about 10% of my body (I do like to boast), when I suddenly feel a cold nose coming up behind and a tongue licking my scrotum!
Roughly 10 seconds later cue lots of female giggling and coitus interruptus!
From that moment, I realised that we Sally was truly at home, but that the sad truth is - Dog is NOT man's best friend!!

Second true story about Sally the dog!
One evening I went out with all my friends from work - we were a boozy lot. We met up at a cocktail bar and started on cocktails - the only one I can remember having was a thing called a Shamrock (Irish Whiskey and Creme de Menthe). Progress was made to a chinese restaurant and more cocktails until our table was ready!
Mixed starters including pretty good spare ribs in barbecue sauce. As I was dipping my fingers into the thoughtfully provided finger bowls , one of the more sober members of the party pointed out that the bowl was actually a bowl of Sake! I have to admit that barbecue sauce infused Sake actually tastes pretty good!
Several more Sakes and loads of Chinese food later I walked home and stumbled into bed. Cur fermentation of stomach contents, and at about 4AM I woke knowing I was going to be sick!
Unfortunately, I didn't make the bathroom but got as far as the landing - not realising at the time that the faithful hound Sally had got up with me to check I was alright.
I did manage to clean things up reasonably well and went back to bed.
I managed to surface for work at 8Am, to a not-unreasonable frosty reception from my better half - the main thing she was upset about was when she pointed to Sally who still had several lumps of drying vomit on the top of her head!
She was even less impressed when I muttered to her "Funny I don't remember eating that last night!"

And that is ALSO a true story!

That's so Fred. I pointed him to his bed and he said (as he jumped up into my chair) "Oh, no thanks. I just like making you spend money," arfarfarf.

That is why the chairs are called recliners so the dogs can recline in them! Spoiled dogs never sleep in their own beds don't ya know. :nanah:

You got it wrong Walt - that's the big reason dogs are better than cats. They realise that they are YOUR pets, with cats you are THEIR pets!

Bridgit's liver functions have improved but still in the red. Poor girl right now not able to take anything for arthritis.

Ex co worker/neighbor texted me a photo of a bootie she found on the tundra. It was one of the first ones we lost last year. Amazing she found it.

I think that the picture is really a competition - prize goes to the person who places a cross on the picture closest to where rokker is allowed to sit!

I thought I'd share a pic of Taz posing with one of his favourite toys "Moose Knuckle". Taz named her himself.

I put a couple blankets on the floor a while back for Fred to sleep on, so he's have a nice soft bed. (I kiss that damn dog's ass, lol.)

He usually just goes in circles 3 times, then lies down on it and goes to sleep. In the winter, I turn the heater down to 65, so it gets a little cool in the early AM. I knew he would try to dig into the blankets to get warm, so this morning I found him like this. Snug as a bug in a rug, all toasty and warm. Smart dog. I think he was warmer than I was,
