Sounds like you had a great weekend Vicky and Dave. Your gift looks like a solid choice for any birthday. Lol.

I spent my birthday out with Connie, Nix and Shandafay. We had a ball eating pasta and swapping stories for a few hours. It was a hoot.

Looks like we both had a fantastic weekend. :)

This was wild! I almost changed my mind once I got to the top! You can't even see over the top, it's a 120 foot drop, you are basically freefalling. If I had contact lenses in I would have lost em, lol... so i wore my prescription sunglasses, but had to hold them in my hands on the faster rides. For this one summit plummet and the next one down "Slush Gusher" (rokkerr kept calling it slut gusher all day) you have to lay down, feet first, legs crossed (you still get a massive wedgie), and arms crossed hugging your shoulders. You basically close your eyes tight and hold your breath till you get to the bottom - it's exhilarating. Each time you go back up it's less scary and you can start learning how the tiny things you do differently affect the ride. Like just sitting up very slightly causes you to go even faster. It's too bad we couldn't take pictures, but our cell phones would have been ruined.

This is the other one, "Slush Gusher"

Those were the 2 fastest slides, then there were a few that were intermediate where you actually race each other. We wore ourselves out, right up till 5 pm we were the last ones on the rides! The park is really cool, it's based on a ski resort theme, except that the mountain is supposed to be melting. We liked it so much we bought a year pass, it's only a 2 hour drive for us, so we'll go back a few times. The pass is good for the other water park too, Typhoon Lagoon. I guess we'll try that one when we go back to Orlando for the Cheap Trick Concert in 2 weeks.

They are insane! It was a perfect day too, a mixture of sun and clouds, so we got tans but didn't burn. I gotta tell you I'm impressed with Orlando. If anyone is planning a vacation definitely consider it. You will never run out of things to do there. There are a zillion theme parks, including 3 waterparks, Epcot center, Discovery cove, Animal Kingdom, SeaWorld, The Science Center, Blue Man Group, games at the Citrus Bowl, concerts at the Amway Center, concerts at the Hard Rock at CityWalk, Botanical Gardens, all the golf you could want, even mini-golf, downtown Disney, several theatres and dinner theatres, indoor skydiving, all the restaurants you could want, high end and all ranges, lots of outlet shopping centers, I could go on forever! You could stay a month and never get bored! Plus go an hour one way and visit tampa, or go an hour the other way and visit Kennedy Space Center where you can spend another 2 days exploring!

Wow! Who'd 'a known? When I spent 8 months at Cape Canaveral, I would truck into Orlando to Thee Baby Doll's to spend some time and a few dollars. There were 3 or 4 clubs on the same street, within a mile or so, but Thee Baby Dolls was my favorite. Sometime during the night, The girls would all dance at once, then move into the audience, go to their favorite customer and finish with a very personal lap dance. Then they'd give him a T-shirt. I ended up with 3 or 4, haha. I was making a lot of money at the Cape, so could afford to be Mr. Nice Guy, lol. Got 3 or 4 dates out of that place, too.

Orlando has attractions? I got yer attraction. :shake-that-ass: :rotffl:

Here's my little "Learning to Skydive" video. It was my third try, the first one didn't count and I got a "do over" cause I felt like I couldn't breathe, the airspeed was over 100 miles per hour and it was rushing up my nose and mouth so much it made me feel panicky, I kept breathing in but not out, got lightheaded, so I quit after 20 seconds, lol... I grabbed the guy's leg and he saw the fear in my eyes, lol.... then I felt like such a big pussy. I had to really convince myself that it was "mind over matter" and I really could breathe. I was kind of like a big fish, gulping air, the guys were laughing at me, cause they could tell I was really forcing myself to breath in and out methodically, but when I was done they all hi5'd me and said "good comeback".

Very impressive, Vicky. That it something I would love to do. I would imagine that controlling what you do, like he did, is simply a matter of practice. Plus, you can do this in a safe environment, not while you are plummeting toward the earth at 120 mph to a screaming, crushing death.

Ok, Rokkerr, when are you posting your clip???

You can all try it, lol.. it's $60, you get a little instruction, get to watch the others and then 2 one minute tries in the chamber. Mike, Connie said you are going with us in September? lol... they have it in Vegas and a bunch of other places too... could this be another VNA event like the bullriding?

Hey Vicky. We're you wearing a two piece while you plunged down that 100' slide or the more sensible, non wardrobe malfunction one piece?? :)
