What makes a good camshow?

I'm with Vicky as well....better to have a mix of chatting and sexin' to attempt to please everyone. Gotta remember that along with the regulars who will follow their favorite performer whatever she does in her shows; there will always be the "noobs" who are getting into her for the first time and do want to know more about her than just whether she can shake her ass or what implement she can stick in her orfices. (Of course, you also have those who would rather she just "shut up and get on with the sexin'"...but that's more with open cam networks where anyone, not just the particular girl's site members, can join in.)

The main thing to me that makes a good cam artist, though, is personality: T&A can draw men to you, but if you don't have the will and the tongue and the brains to keep them at your feet, you won't be so successful. The best cam women can make even the mundane very hot: I still have strong memories of Vicky's infamous chocolate muffins show from 10 years ago. I'll bet just reading the recipe would be enough to get me off!

Having just experienced my first few cam shows over the last few days, I'm already starting to see which types of shows I prefer.

I like the ladies to spend some time chatting with fans first, because it gives me much more of a sense that they're regular people with lives outside of porn, and it makes me feel like they really appreciate me & the rest of the fans tuning in to see them. I already know these women are physically attractive; the cam shows give me a chance to see their personalities on display. Yesterday, I went from just thinking Penny Pax was really hot to having a full-on crush on her, and that happened before she even took her top off. Similarly, by the time Nina Kayy started really putting on a show for us yesterday morning, I already felt comfortable and relaxed around her.

As a newbie to VNA, I also like the interaction between longtime members who have built friendships with one another through this site. It's a CHEERS thing - it's nice to go where people know your name & are glad to see you.

Of course, the sex stuff is extremely important, too. I haven't been brave enough to turn my own camera on yet (and I don't know if I will be any time soon!), but it is seriously hot when the lady on camera shows her vocal appreciation for the dicks that are out & at full mast in her honor. One thing I've always loved about pornstars is that they are the most honest sex symbols in popular culture. Every swimsuit model, ring card girl, booth babe, cosplayer, pop starlet, stripper, etc., is, to a large degree, selling a fantasy to male viewers and fans - the fantasy of having sex with them. And while I've always believed in being polite & respectful and NEVER assuming it's okay to be vulgar or grabby with any woman with whom I don't already have an intimate relationship, I sometimes get put off by public sex symbols who tease & flash a lot of flesh, but then act prudish & outraged at even the most innocent of flirtatious banter or sexual entendre. Pornstars know their fans are fantasizing about sex with them, and they encourage & appreciate that fantasizing (within the boundaries of respect & the law, of course). As a guy, it's great to not have to pretend that I'm not crazy horny when I talk to a gorgeous, half-naked woman.

I love close-ups, too. Again, Penny made a point to show us what she referred to as her "very happy pussy" up close after getting it drilled by Alex, and that was a definite highlight of her show! Not so much the view (though it was lovely), but the fact that she wanted me to see it from that close.

The one thing I don't really like in a cam show is people who keep asking lots of non-sexual questions after the show shifts from the conversational to the carnal. I get that not everyone is jerking off during a cam show, but I think it's a bit distracting when people are still asking the girl about Instagram accounts, the weather, sports scores, the color of the drapes behind her, etc., while she's riding a dildo or giving head. She's trying to get off for us at that point, and it's kind of rude to keep making her stop to answer questions (many of which she's probably already answered during the show). It's a "time and a place" thing. There are lots of hot girls with Twitter pages, Facebook accounts, and opinions about the state of the world, but not all of them are willing to make themselves cum live on camera for you. My take is if you wouldn't ask a girl the question if you were in the room fucking her yourself, don't ask it while she's in the middle of a sex act in a cam show.
