Well, having said what I did early on, I hope it didn't come out that I am against all fund raisers. And, like others have said, really, what's the big deal? There are fund raisers everywhere, for hundreds of reasons. Like I think Anthony said, it is certainly each persons choice whether they want to contribute to something or not.

Now I end up getting personally involved. An old school friend (the lady I went to see in Austin) has posted a GoFundMe account for herself and husband. I knew he had been sick and had difficulties the last couple years, (is wheechair bound,) and has been trying to deal with the VA (good luck with that.) But apparently things are getting tough, so she opened an account. I certainly wish them well.

We never know what difficulties others might be enduring in their personal lives. So, as Anthony says, (why does Anthony always top my insane rantings with his intelligent thought? ) it's each persons choice how/when/if they offer whatever help to others that they can or wish.

Someday, any one of us might be in those shoes.

Another GiveForward fundraiser ... This one for Europe DiChan

(I met Europe years ago (in 1988) at Goldfingers a strip club in Rego Park, Queens. She was a sweet lady)

Anyway the story is by Kayla Kleevage.
