Adultcon LA May 14-15... Dec 17 & 18?? NO VNA

I'll never do another Adultcon again. They used to be great! This last one was a joke. I couldn't believe how much smaller it was than when they had it before. And they way they treated you guys was ridiculous, you had the biggest set up by far at their show and you'd think they'd bend over backwards to make you happy. Exxxotica just does a much better job overall, there's a lot more going on for people to do and see.

I just had a look at the lineup for the upcoming show in Los Angeles. Looks like Lauren Phillips is going to be appearing in the Oral wet booth.

Other than that it is looking like a pretty thin lineup. I barely recognized any of the attendees.

So with only three days to go until the Los Angeles show I'm still not seeing much of a change in the attendees appearing in Los Angeles. With the exception of Lauren, I can see a bunch of customers scratching their heads and muttering "who are these people?"

I was chatting with a model who is going because she lives in LA and she said he raised the prices, now you have to pay for the booth and then pay extra if you want tables and chair and garbage can, that used to be included. She also said Renaud is driving her crazy asking her to find talent for him. She is pissed because it's not her job to find him talent and he's not even giving her a discount if she does!

It's pretty sad when all the girls live in LA and they don't go! They don't have to pay airfare or hotel, you would think it was a no-brainer, it's in your backyard... that's how much people hate him.

Sounding more and more like this may be the death knell for Adultcon.

I hope not Walt... as much as I have my misgivings about the way we were treated, it's a great place to meet the fans and get all the girls together.
It's a pity its gone downhill.

Oh, I agree with that. But the guy is killing it. To me, I seems like he doesn't know how to market things. He has an idea, put on a show and invite all the big names in the industry. But you have to treat them right to get them to participate. Adultcon has been a great and exciting event. And it could be again. But he needs to get some capital and give people a reason to go, such as cheap booths, including all the amenities, great side shows, and big names (like the VNA with 10 - 15 big names in the booth.)

Exxxotica out of Dallas? Then Adultcon out of LA? We need more of these, not less.

Dying to know how Adultcon was... Lauren said she did well... I found this rather sad pic of Ron Jeremy... who is either tired or aged 10 years since I last saw him...

The sad thing about this event (which we supported and helped for years) is it could be the biggest and best in the country but bad management keeps it from being that. Having been around the management at Chiller in New Jersey who were polite, helpful and talent friendly... it makes a world of difference. Imagine the usual Adultcon BUT with good management and tons and tons of girls... how amazing could that be?

I've seen Ron a few times too and you are right Rokkerr, he has aged 10 years in the past 6 months.

I guess that he is 63 years, but I know a hell of a lot of 63 year olds who look a hell of a lot better. I know that he had some health issues but his lifestyle and travel has taken a toll.

No reports from the show from anyone I know. Maybe they didn't go.

I'm with Shaft. Only saw one person I know or have even heard of. I know that at least two others were there (Lauren Phillips being one.) I had thought about driving out to see the 3 ladies that I did know, but I'm glad now that I didn't. (Sure would have loved to see them, tho.)

Maybe I'm a little behind the times, but it didn't look like a mainstream convention. Gianna Michaels, Ron Jeremy, Abella Danger, Lauren Phillips and Eric John were the only names I really recognized on the guest list.

I heard the only thing that was busy was the Spearmint Rhino room... so a lot of those girls in the pics could be local dancers? I think this is the first time he has done that? Or maybe I didn't notice it before... being busy with my own booth... does anyone know if they had that in previous years?
