I wouldn't mind seeing George Thoroughlygood. Did see the Beach Boys twice. But like I told my sister, actually it was "2 Beach Boys and some other guys." (Only 2 original Beach Boys there, but the sound was right. So I enjoyed both concerts.)
Saw the Stones 5 or 6 times they came over, starting in 1964 in Detroit. Last time was about 1981 in Los Angeles at the Coliseum.

Garbage? The names people/groups choose for themselves today never fail to astound me.
I remember The Orlons, the Premiers, Smokey Robinson, The Crystals, The Angels, Freddie "BoomBoom" Cannon, The Beach Boys, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, The Dovells, The Cadillacs, The Everly Brothers, Bob Seger and The Last Heard, on and on and on.
Today you've got: "Garbage," "Blood on the Dance Floor," "Anal Cunt"? (Oh, come on, this is a band name?). Not a lot better is "Anal Vomit." Another VNA favorite might be "Test Icicles."
"Dogs Die in Hot Cars" Sure they do but, like above, a band name?
OK, all you anal lovers: "Butthole Surfers"
"Slightly Stoopid" - Ok, I'll buy that
Are all these people VNA members? "We Are Going to Eat You." Or maybe wannabe Vampire morticians.
"Bathtub Shitter" No comment (but, then, that's a comment, lol.)
"Disco Tits" OK, well, if you like to dance and have sex at the same time.
Ok, enough. Those aren't even the worst, (most of them,) altho they're all on the list. Now, I'm not making any comments on the music they play. I haven't heard any of it. If Rokkerr and Vicky went to see Garbage, they must like the music (if that's really what it is, )
Ok, enough from TheOldFart. I now return you to your regularly scheduled "Concerts...." topic.

You are so right Walt and I couldn't agree with you more. To me the name garbage would insinuate just that! lol I don't mind some of the music but most of should not even be called music! I love the Beach Boys and the BeeGees. That is good music!!

Most of your list I don't recognize, but Garbage has been playing for more then 25 years and the Butthole Surfers have been around for over 30 years. I'm only Happy When it Rains (Garbage) and Pepper (Butthole Surfers) are great songs.

Garbage was popular when I was in 6th grade so Ive been a fan of theirs for awhile. My next show will be in October to see Halsey check out "Eyes Closed" & "Now Or Never"! She's not really in the rock genre but has rock star status.

Maybe if everyone listened to classical music it would calm the world down and soothe their minds. Just a thought!

Fun thread. Love to see what everybody enjoys!
I know the founding members of The Replacements and with that being said, we received a lot of free passes, enjoyed a lot of concerts, many of them at 7th st. entry in mpls. many mosh pits....many punk groups, I didn't even know the names of but was there to party.
Concerts I remember :
The replacements ( too many to count)
Poison
Guns and Roses
The stones (horrible sound as it was in the new dome(at the time) and it was just a horrible sound system...feedback the whole show.)
Prince (a few times....Great Concert always)
Madonna ( a few times.....GREAT Concert always)
The Jets
Too short ( too many fights, police came and shut it down)
Menudo
Kid Rock ( not impressed)
Bob Seger ( awesome show)
Puff Daddy
Ricky Martin
Busta Rhymes ( fucking hot body and did a super sexy strip tease down to his G-string...damn!)
Cameron
cisco
and my very first concert of ever was Miss Diana Ross and I was in awe! Endless love and Lionel Richie came out and sang with her. The very last song of the concert. I was so excited!!
Gosh, I know there were more but for the life of me cannot remember..

Sorry, Vicky. Never heard of the band Garbage until you mentioned it here. The only "Stupid Girl" song I know is this one.

I have seen Phantom of the Opera(wish I could have seen it with the original cast), Miss Saigon, and I do I do. Favorite of course is Phantom, beautiful music! The concerts have been pretty much country & western singers. You know I am a country bumpkin! lol

The most memorable theater shows I have seen were Spamalot and Avenue Q. Both were freaking awesome.
