The new combined forum?

I am on the fence... I hope we have a back up of the old forum...
There should at a minimum be a separate forum for just the Official Threads of the girls to make them easier for the guys to find.. my 2 cents...

There is an official thread for each girl. Just search for "official puma swede thread" and it will pop up.
You are welcome to create a forum called Official Threads, and we can move all the official threads in there, but then you are at risk of creating another yet again, that no one ever posts in. I truly do find this is better. I'm already posting on threads I never would have even seen before.

Apologies Vicky, but I preferred the old format. It may just be me, but if you want to post on more than one thread, or just want to look for a particular forum, you have to search down more entries - a lot of which may not be one's you are interested in.
Also, for someone like me, you rely on reminders by seeing the thread come up and think - "OK, I want to post on that"; where the list is so long now you give up.

Have you ever tried the search feature Peter? It's pretty cool. You can search by title of the thread, by the author, etc.... Play with it and get a feel for it.

Also do you subscribe to the topics? I think you set that up in your profile? So by default, any topic that you post on, you will get a email notification with a handy link to click whenever there is a reply.

You can also bookmark threads. That is at the bottom left of the screen. Please give it a chance.

Along those lines, any idea how difficult it is to make the forum compatible with Tapatalk? If it is any work at all, then it is probably not worth it, as I am guessing there aren't many of us out there using it.

I do have Tapatalk connected to my mobile, and do use it for some forums I'm connected with. I've never tried to use it with this one, because the WiFi where I work blocks access to paid sites. I think I'll give it a try since I'm at home. (Remember, I work nights.)

UPDATE: Bad news....Tapatalk isn't adult friendly; they are pretty easy to install, but their TOS for site users and owners expressively forbids the use of "pornographic" content. So much for that.

The subscribe button is at the bottom left of each topic (right next to the Bookmark button Vicky mentioned, lol.) Subscribe, and the topic will send you an email whenever someone makes a post to that topic.

Yeah you can manually subscribe to a topic, but isnt there a way to turn it on automatically? I never subscribe to any topics ever, yet I get an email each time there is a reply to any topic i have ever posted on. So I think there must be a setting somewhere in your profile to make it automatic.

OK, will post this here and in the Tech Corner.

Nothing in your profile, But in the UCP (User Control Panel - The icon upper right with the gear) you will find a "Manage Subscriptions" button. Click that.

This is supposed to be a list of all the topics you are subscribed to. But 61 pages are shown for me, and I am unsubscribed from everything but 3 moderators topics. Not sure why so many show up for me. When I first signed up, I was getting many emails every day. With Vicky's help, I fingered out how to unsubscribe from everything, as I was coming here every day anyhow, and would see all new posts, thanks to the little orange Alert button.

Anyway, I don't see any way to unsubscribe the entire board. So it looks like you have to wade thru all 61 or whatever pages to do it. At the bottom on the left, you will find "Mark all • Unmark all." Caution: If you "Mark All" then move to the second page, it will unselect all of page 1. You need to click "Mark All," then "Unwatch Marked," then move on to page two. So it might get a little odious. Also, once you select "Mark All" and "Unwatch Marked," those topics stay there. Seems to me they should disappear, since the page is listed as Topics you Watch. So, remember which page you're on as you wade thru it.

Then, if there are a few you do want to subscribe to, there is a "Subscribe Topic" button at the bottom. when you read a post, and want to be notified of new posts, just click "Subscribe Topic" at the bottom.

After wondering & thinking a lot about the new, "compressed" forum, I have to say that this is absolutely OK.
The old forum was amazing, with so many options, but as you said: why wasting time & effort if no one use it...?
Your decision is consequent & necessary. Take your time to take care for better things.

...& yes, as the future members will mostly be Smombies, the way to watch porn will be via cellphones & other smartdevices, not not so much with standard PCs anymore.
I can confirm that from the point of view of the Media-Science devision I'm working for. We are experiencing the same...

Now, I have to read a ton of threads...
Uhhh, I feel a little bit puzzled... I have to find out how to get that Chaos sorted.

I reread your post, Vicky, I didn't see anything that looked like "automatic." My impression was that I was "automatically" subscribed when I first signed up. But I talked to you, and figured out how to unsubscribe from everything. And it's stayed that way ever since.

Look at the bottom left of each topic. If it says "Subscribe Topic," It means that you are unsubscribed from that topic. If it says, "Unsubscribe Topic," it means you are subscribed to that one. (I'm assuming you know all that, so I really don't have any other answers for you.)

Nope - I don't get subscribed to threads I post on - and as you know I post a lot.
I'm going to try subscribing (thanks Walter) to a couple of threads - not sure I really want e-mails every time some one else posts though.

Peter I have seen a lot of bounced emails in regards to the forum from your email address. I'm wondering if the emails are sent to you, but you don't get them. I think your isp rejects them. They are sent from vicky@vickyvette.com

I'm still not understanding. Like I said, I think you're automatically subscribed to everything when you first sign up. I don't get notifications from anything but the 2 or 3 topics I subscribe to. And it's been that way for a few years.

Vicky stated the problem. I certainly see what you're thinking. But the problem is, only 3 or 4 models ever come here. And some of the newer ones don't even want a forum. So, if someone wants to see a particular models posts, like Vicky said, just search their name, and they will come up.

And Rokkerr, if it's working for me (old fucker that I am, ) I know you'll give it a good chance.

I like the changes Vicky, when I first went on I had no idea what was going on, but I think this is a great idea.

I get emails from all the topics I've posted on, I thought that was the way it is and I love that feature.
