Put me in the "never smoked at all" column. I used to have to buy cigs for both my parents; who both then succumbed to cancer in their 70's.
Funny thing is, my current night job has me manning the tobacco/alcohol register, so I have to deal with all the addicts....errrrrr, tobacco smokers wanting their favorite brands. For someone who never lit a stick up and does not ever plan to, I'm literally becoming a tobacco expert. LOLZ
Who Smokes Anymore? I Guess A Lot...

I started thinking about those numbers on the maps and started thinking, "Those seem a bit low." I looked back at my posts. The first said "5 - 10 a day." I don't know when that was, but my second post stated a pack (20) a day, which I know is correct. Here again, a pack back then was maybe 50 cents.
So, I ran the numbers on my handy, dandy calculator. 20 X 365 = 7,300. Per year! And I did that for about 20 years. I don't know how long it took me to ramp up to a pack a day, but I'm betting it wasn't that long. Maybe when I got old enough to gt a job and buy my own, instead of stealing them out of Mom and Dads packs, lol.
I know Mom and Dad pretty much smoked a pack a day. And, for many years, dad smoked Camels, one of the strongest (Lucky Strike and Pall Mall were a couple others.) So, if all the numbers are true, smoking really IS down, quite a bit. And, 1/2 a pack a day would still be 3,600.

I can resist everything except temptation.
