I'm not a germa-phobe, but I'd probably think about doing a little wiping down of a common area that I was going to be using for a few hours too.

Where I live in Australia, the Govt. are taking advice from medical experts and it is a case that the people affected with this virus, were mainly travelling in China and even from Iran. Not a big total but these people are or have been quarantined, offshore before rerentering Australia. Most affected were in a cruise ship touring in the area near China. Anyway, according to the Govt. from medical experts, all measures are taken to prevent the spread of this virus, not to panic, and still go out to restaurants, etc and events. Apparently, only the real elderly would be the most vulnerable of it being of serious consequence. Therefore, I'm not worried and will still go out and do things, as per normal. The advice, also, is to be careful which countries you would travel to.

The front page headline of the local paper broke the story about the first confirmed case in NH. Someone traveling in Italy last week apparently. Although I work with the general public, I'm not too concerned. People who are getting sick with flu aren't usually out shopping for stuff from the beer store.

Even if I do end up catching it, I fall into the 0.2% fatality rate age group, I'm more concerned for my aging parents.

Yes but if you get it, you can give it to them and it's 3x more contagious than the regular flu. So don't catch it!

Even if you get the Coronavirus, chances are you won't show any symptoms. And if you do show symptoms, for most people it'll be a worse version of the flu.

It has killed people, but everybody in the United States that it's killed has been older with health problems.

If you're young and/or healthy, it probably poses more of a nuisance than a death sentence.

Yes but for example Dave's Mom is 84 and has copd. My Mom is 72 and has lupus. It would probably kill both if them. So if we got it they would catch it from us. That one example of a 50 yr old guy who got it, gave it to his wife, his 2 kids and his neighbors.

That's a good point. I was just trying to offer a bit of relief. It is a pandemic and a scare. And I'm not sure there's much we can do about it other than let it pass.

I think it's going to get worse before it gets better. Sorry don't mean to be negative. They are shutting down schools countrywide in italy, israel, japan, Korea I think and China? Yes it will pass eventually. I feel sorry for people with kids though, how are they supposed to work?
