You want to err onthe side of kindness and inclusiveness but you want to exclude the guy who wants to be called faggot. If he likes it and that turns him on, you are saying he is not allowed to do that here? Thats not very inclusive, I'm not understanding lol.....

Anyway I seem to be outnumbered here so you guys just do whatever you want - I am totally OK with it. 1000% I actually love having these discussions and I am glad that we can all talk here without getting our feelings hurt.

I don't think I'm excluding anyone. It's not about the guy. It's about the millions of people who are most likely offended by the very existence of the word.

And, in case you're wondering (I saw a comment somewhere,) there were maybe 4 people in the cam shows that commented about it over the few shows where that member name was used. I am not the only one who was offended by it (But I didn't say anything. I let it slide, then came here to ask the question.) Are you going to allow numerous of your members to be offended because one person chooses to be that way? What if the members start jumping on the member because of his chosen user name? Yes, it has happened before.

I will readily admit that, like I said, the member appeared to be pretty agreeable to changing the name. He couldn't figure out how. and soon he disappeared. So, I have no way of knowing if he has changed his name or just left.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong. But I think what you're saying is that it's OK to ask someone to change a user name. But, if they don't want to, then we should drop it. Is that right?

And if a model wants something like that handled, does that mean we do it regardless? To me (and I think you've said before) it is the models show, to do, think and feel however she wants.

I don't mind if someone calls me a slut or a whore (if said nicely) I'm quite proud of it haha but someone else would ban the person for it whereas I get a kick out of it.... we are all so different....

I guess if the model insists you can kick him out .... to make her happy... I wouldn't ban him though because I certainly don't mind what user names people use… i welcome everyone, so just kick him out for that show if he refuses to change it.

I get what u are saying Vicky but like the guy with name Faggot, that is someone I would have a hard time talking to. When I was growing up that word didn't mean anything good, but if he is okay being called that I say go for it. If someone puts a ugly phase with someone's name and there is no admin, I will let u know.

If you had been homosexual and had to endure the hate and rejections they have suffered over the years, I doubt you would call it making a mountain out of a molehill. I don't see it as any different that several other things this country is undergoing. And I'm starting to think that maybe all of the unrest of last summer, as much as I was against it, maybe it was necessary to get people at least thinking about race and the other issues that popped up. There is just too damn much hate and anger in this world about things that should be meaningless.

I just thought of something else. A good example might be "intercourse" is OK in normal conversation, but "fuck" is not. They can talk about your penis on TV but not your cock. They can say vagina all over the place (wanna argue over the pronunciation? lol) but can't say pussy. They're just words. Why is there a stigma on one but not the other? (Am I defeating my own argument here? lol)

Homosexuality will never be a front-line subject for the same reason porn never will be, unless and until, America wakes up. People are dirty and nasty as hell in the bedroom. But, outside the bedroom, they can't say the word "sex." "Sex? Oh, we don't do that. We go to church!"

Just for fun, and because I find this thread fascinating, I asked my programmer / friend in Holland (who is gay) if he would take offense if he came into my cam room and someone had the screen name FAGGOT. He said it didn't bother him a bit, one way or another.

The thing about names and name calling is there is more in the intent than the actual word used.

That's why so many politicians get away with so much.

But if the persons involved in the dialogue are OK with the terms being used, and it is not objectionable to any audience they may have, then I really don't see why it should be of any concern to anyone else.
