Alright, I have tried two different editing tools (imagemagick and GIMP) and two different viewers (ristretto and firefox). The gif animates everywhere but here. At least at the moment. Yet Zack's are animating for me. I am at a bit of a loss.

You mean the one that you attached ErikB?
It does, when you click on it and open it. At least for me (And it's very animating, btw haha... sorry).
My guess is that your gif is too large (it's about 10 MB) and that the forum has a restriction when it comes to autoplay files,
so the site loads faster.

Okay, nevermind, I thought I was being super smart, but I didn't see that the last few gifs that Zack uploaded are even larger ...
