We all know how far Julie is into not only fitness, but helping others, as well. We've all read about how she works hard to help the kids way up there in Bumfuck, Canada. Well, guess what? I finally found one of the kids who agreed to give me periodic updates on how things are really going.

We are gonna have to hit the gym superhard for the next few weeks, Dave's Mom was force feeding us, I'm serious, she was stuffing pie in my face even before breakfast! Crazy! I can't seem to say NO either!

Vicky you can force me to eat your pie
Yesterday we were doing lots of med ball work, slams, chops and then I was showing how to throw it but from a squat position. There was a ball there and I picked it up, I knew it was to heavy but thought no big deal. Now you get into a squat and the ball is in your hands hanging. You power up and throw the ball against the wall and it just falls to the ground after it hits the wall. Now if you ever try this use a light ball and make sure it's a dead ball. Well mine was a heavy live ball, I couldn't throw it high enough and it hit the wall to low bouncing back fast into my chest. I tried to catch it but it knocked me on my ass. I had it in my hands and threw it hard as I could against the wall, well it bounces back at me again. I tried to roll out of the way and it hits me in the ass. I was swearing at the stupid ball, one of the new guys grabs it and saves me from myself. I stood up and said that's not even close to how it's done. Don't do that at home I'm a trained professional

Friday is what we call finisher Friday, it's all cardio work, with strength building worked into it, this was the workout.
6 lengths of the turf, jog, skip, walk, however you want
5 deceleration push ups
5 med ball slams c/w jump squat
shuttle run c/w burpies
5 laying sit ups
5 underhanded med ball tosses
1/4 length of the turf inchworm
50 second wall sit
10 box jumps
2 lengths of the turf sled push, 200lbs minimum
1 length of the turf bear crawl
Most said no problem cause they had 50 minutes to get it done. That's when I told them it's a ladder, so when your done #1, before you go on to #2 you fo #1 again first and the same for #3 you start at #1 first, and so on. No one finished, I was called a few choice words, but when it was over everyone thanked me. Strange how that works, but a good feeling

Love, I mean hate those ladders! I really miss my boxing class we used to do those all the time... shame I moved too far away.... when i run out of Orange theory class (that I prepaid for) I'm gonna look around here and see if I can find a boxing gym, think i was in better shape when I did that.

I have never even thought of boxing because I believe it to be a violent nonsense sport. Even swinging at dummy or a trainer with the special gloves on just seemed violent. Yes I am a big time passivist. Well one day I had a really bad day at work angry at the adults not the students. It fell on a day I was meeting personal trainer and she could tell something was wrong especially after slamming the medicine ball. She convinced me to try boxing. First adjusting to the gloves and learning how to punch without damaging my wrists we went to town. It was one of the most exhausting workouts and I felt so much better.
I have not been able to workout or do anything since June 8th and put my membership on hold until the doctor releases me. I just can't wait to get back to the gym because I want to do some kind of exercise. I need to find something I can do with me legs in my room without sweating. She told me I can walk, but just can't sweat so walking is out.

We don't have a Koger it has been suggested Walmart I don't like Walmart. I just in general don't like stores. I did walk one time around the mall. I was so excited I can actually shop at Victoria's Secret now I went to the mall.

I need to start exercising... At least running...but I don't have the motivation. I tried running months back and I'd run at least a mile, sometimes two a day, which is a lot for me...and when I noticed my number didn't change on the scale, it discouraged me. It always does. I'm also a picky eater, which is probably why the number stayed the same.
It also goes the same way every year.

You should never judge by the scale sometimes you get in better shape and it shows but the numbers on the scale don't change. You stay the same weight, it just changes places, and you look better. You should judge by the way your clothes fit and how they look on you. Plus you can't see the improvement that you're doing to your heart and lungs when you're getting healthier but you might notice it when you run up the stairs that you are not as winded as you would have been in the past
