Went to see Red Dawn this morning and liked it. It closely follows the original, which I think is the main reason. I generally don't like remakes, because they are basically different stories with different people. When I see a movie, it's the combination of people and story that I like. But, when the only thing that doesn't change is the name, then it loses me.
Red Dawn is, of course, different people. And the location and story line are updated, but basically, it tells the same story, including several key events from the original.
Only thing I didn't like was the ending. While the original put a definite end to the story, this one leaves you to "assume" that the Wolverines and the USA are successful in the end. I really felt it should have ended more like the original.
If you liked the original, Walter "Thumbs up" Brown says you should like this one.

Anyone excited about seeing any of the movies coming out this holiday season? I'm very interested in seeing "Django Unchained" by Quintin Tarentino...that movie might have some wheels but then again I am a Tarentino fan anyway.
Anyone seen a film over the last two weeks I need to run out and see before it leaves the theatre??
Thanks Homies
Mike

Kicking Ass and Taking Names :)
I just watched all 3 seasons from Arrested development (I know there will be 4 season next year) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367279/
This show is just brilliant. I had laugh my ass of. There will be more episodes next year. I hope those episodes are also good, because there have been couple years break in this show.

I'm watching "Early Edition" season 1 on DVD. Always liked that program. Will probably order season 2 once I'm done with this one.

Could be one of the last times as motherhood has made her less comfortable with being 'overly sexual' on camera.
“I’m going to be more cautious about choosing films, because I’m already thinking about when my son is in school and his friends are going to be showing him my photo shoots with me in a bikini and he’s going to be horrified,” Fox said, imagining her baby son being old enough to Google.
Sweet, cute and sexy!
And that captures the Megan Foxx adoration perfectly!

i say to Megan: He'll get over it. And why not? He's gonna be the most popular kid in school ! Don't take that away from him lol
'Sides, its not like it's playboy or anything ;) Don't shoot yourself in the foot babe.
imho she's pulled back from the lime light way to far now, she needs to make more fun sexy movies, TV and mags, her career was just taking off with TF then ... idk she and m-bay could've handled that whole situation much better.

I'm a Tarintino fan and saw Django today... it had all the earmarks of a Tarentino movie no doubt but I like the pace of them very much. They are shall we say "not of the cookie-cutter variety"
This movie isn't for everyone but if you're looking for something a little different this is the movie for you

Batman the darknight rises, Stolen, The Bourne Legacy and Rock of ages.
Batman was pretty good i think ...Stolen was good too. but i'm a bog fan of Nicolas Cage.. , Bourne Legacy was good but nothing to do with the first 3 movies.. so no Jason Bourne. (Matt Demon)
Rock of ages I really enjoyed., i love Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Russel Grand I love too. The musical part was a fun thing.. especially when it's about 80's rock !! WOOHOO :)

I just seen Flight with my one of my favorite actors Denzel Washington !! :) It was really good..
Anyone see it already? I did finally seen Hugo , but it sucked big time in my opinion, I couldn't even stay focused till the end.. and serious that will say something about a movie if I won't finish it.
I want to see Argo.. can't wait for that one. :)
