Before Exxxotica, there was another trade show that landed in Chicago for 2 years and that one was almost slimy. No class, no organization, and aside from 1 or 2 stars it was all amateurs. The only good thing about that show was that the girls could walk around without covering their nipples (this is something I kinda wish Exxxotica would change). But, in comparative terms, Exxxotica is absolutely tame.
For those who havent had the pleasure of attending, let me give you a quick overview. Lots of well-known stars signing autographs and posing for pictures, seminars & stage shows, no actual nudity (pasties are required of all the girls), and a lot of people just hanging out and having a good time. There are vendors selling every kind of sex toy imaginable, but there are also vendors who sell things like 420 supplies and other fun "adult stuff". I consider it the ComiCon of adult...hell, Allie Haze was walking around in schoolgirl outfit last year all day so there even is an element of cosplay!
How any of this can be considered offensive is beyond me. Now, what happens in the hotel rooms after hours...that I cant attest to as Ive never been invited to one of those. From some stories Ive read, though, there is some debauchery that goes on there. But, its in the hotels and if there's a bunch of drinking and fucking going on does it really matter? Again...its all adults.
Ive never been to Texas, or anyplace in the south or southeast. But if they are really THIS uptight that theyre fighting so hard to keep a convention like this out...screw-em. The producers of this show can find plenty of other landing spots where they will be welcomed with open arms. I feel badly for the people in Dallas who actually would like to partake, but when you live in the bible belt Id imagine they are pretty used to this sort of thing anyway.
I, for one, cannot wait until the Chicago show arrives. Theyve already confirmed Allie Haze, Tori Black, and our very own Rubberdoll...with a ton of other announcements to come. We love to party and have fun here in Chicagoland, and Im keeping my fingers crossed of getting into one of those after-hours parties one of these years. :)
Texas has now been added to my ever growing list of states Ill never visit...along with NC, GA, & MS for their stupid anti-trans laws and religious freedom BS. Keep hitting these states where it counts...in lack of tourism and money...and eventually theyll come around. Theyll have no choice.
Sorry for the rant, but the fact that the show is actually losing in court just really pisses me off. I hate social injustice and thats what this amounts to.

I am a bit concerned. Dallas has spent nearly $700,000 in legal fees and costs (with more on the way).
If Exxxotica does NOT pull out a win they could in theory be responsible to pay that tab.
That kind of hard cash money can put a business on the ropes...
