I know, I know. I was pulling her leg.
If it was an iphone, it would take longer than a day to set it up.
10K in 50 minutes is a pretty good pace. That's faster than I could run 10K.stickyvicky wrote: ↑July 20th, 2023, 4:35 pm Not really but I heard Norway is in it...
I rowed yesterday for 50 minutes, I have never rowed that long before it was over 10,000 m I did stop a couple of times for just a min because my butt hurt sitting on that hard seat... by the end of that I had blisters on both hands and one heel LOL..... who knew!
I slept like a baby last night!
Way to go, gal!!stickyvicky wrote: ↑July 21st, 2023, 11:42 am Well that sucks big time! I I rowed even better today! I came in first in my age group!
Way to go.Davest wrote: ↑August 17th, 2023, 8:43 pm Had a doctor appointment today and apparently I have lost between 10 and 15 pounds in the last three months. I guess the walks in the 90+ degree heat have made a difference. I am down 25 pounds from my highest weight a couple years ago. A few more pounds lost and I will be below 200. I don't think I have been below 200 pounds (91 kilos) since the latter part of the Reagan administration, LOL.
Yes, absolutely! The last time I was at this weight, I was married.stickyvicky wrote: ↑August 17th, 2023, 10:35 pm Holy cow Daviest that is amazing! Do you feel different?
Thanks Vicky. But you must have misread something somewhere. I have never done a 10 minute mile - that is my target. My best time so far is about 10:30.stickyvicky wrote: ↑August 17th, 2023, 10:44 pm Captain Lance! That is incredible - how impressive and inspirational! If I could just get back to my 10-minute miles I would be thrilled... I haven't been running for almost a year because of this damn sciatica / piriformis or whatever the hell it is thing that hurts in my butt! I can only run one or two miles slowly now as a word warm up and my real workout is the rower and weights.
I came in first in my rowing again this morning, that's the 55 to 59 year old age group, but I always check the other age groups to just for fun, and there is a lady who is 62 that puts me to shame every time, so I'm going to have to up my game as I get older because in a year and a half we will both be in the 60-65 group and I won't be first anymore at my current pace.
I got to say I've improved just in the month that I've had the rower though, I started off at 2:30 for 500 meters and now I'm at 2:05! My goal is to get under 2! Then I'll feel like I have accomplished something.
The difference between the men's times and the women's times is huge though! The men are at 1:30!
