For a nice 6 hours of binging I caught an Australian show on Netflix...
The Secret City...

It's about corrupt government officials and China .... being exposed by a reporter who was married to a man who became a woman who was killed... yeah.. that was a long run on sentence... I'd give it it a solid 8. No nudity unless you count a transexual being strip searched...

Binge watching "Letterkenny", a Canadian comedy show that flew under my radar until recently. I've been really impressed with the writing and how they fire off hilarious dialogue at a breakneck speed. Check it out on Hulu.

I started watching a documentary series on Netflix called The Toys that Made Us. It is pretty light weight but interesting. Each episode focuses on a popular children's toy line and how it came into being, why it came popular, behind the scenes drama, etc. It has been pretty interesting. Such as the creators of Barbie were in Germany and saw a doll named Lilli that was a character in a German comic strip about a happy go lucky prostitute. They bought several of these and used it as the model for Barbie. So of all the careers Barbie has had her first was the worlds oldest.

Omg that's amazing! I just knew Barbie was a slut! I always said that! Haha fucking hilarious!

Two new shows on TV and a reminder for UK viewers about a favourite starting back on Netflix over here

New shows - On Alibi over here - Great new Australian (yep I do mean Aussie) series called Harrow with another great Welsh actor Ioan Grufydd (that's Welsh for Griffiths). He plays a Forensic Pathologist (type casting here?) in Queensland who has a secret (dumping bodies encased in concrete) and is grumpy and difficult. He does however, have the hots for a hot read head SOCO with whom he works. Great stuff - especially if you like crocodiles (see episode 3)!

On History channel is Nightfall (no its not just another low budget Game of Thrones rokker!) about the Templars in Paris just after the fall of the Holy Land. Great sword fights, intrigue etc - and there is the habitual quest for the Holy Grail. And, by the way, the new Master of the Templars is sleeping with the French Queen.

The reminder is that Season 4 of Better Call Saul starts on Netflix over here next week!

Toodle Pip!

Got hooked recently on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. The 15 minute episodes are bite-sized, even though I'd like them longer for most of the guests. Ended up watching a bunch of them Saturday night because before I knew it , it was 6 AM Sunday, LOL.

So I have been taking a bit of binging on Black Sails on Stars..

Kind of like a cross between Vikings and Game of Thrones.... but about Pirates...

Violence and lots of tits... sex... whores... lesbian kissing... a hint of bondage... and mayhem...
Very entertaining, good acting, good script, surprise deaths... and... did I mention nudity?

So far I'd give it a strong 9 out of 10... unless you aren't into pirates, violence or booty...
I guess some of the girls didn't user razors backs then... :wtf:

Next up for me Ozark Season 2.... but just wrapped up two shows.....

1. Sharper Objects.... on HBO...

8 shows of a total drunk of a reporter (amy adams) who goes back home to her family down south after a couple of murders of girls in her neighborhood. Her family is totally fucked up and so is she... cutting herself when she is depressed. Well acted, strange, bizarre... but overall depressing... not one single character except one of the police officers is anything but fucked up. I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10. Lacking enough quality nudity if that's your thing... also if you have a current drinking problem... it might make you want to down a bottle of vodka...

2. Jack Ryan - Amazon

I've seen a lot of reviews after the fact saying that Jack Ryan on Amazon is boring. Got to disagree.... there is plenty of action and it's well done. There's some silly parts... with a very very terrorist calculating on a masterminded plot which completely relies a cell phone signal. Jack is also able to fly to the middle east overnight and then be back in Washington almost easily. That being said, Rambo wasn't plausible but it was entertaining. For some mindless fun and action I give it a solid 7+. The + is for a glimpse of Abbie Cornish kind of naked... :fail: :yeahbaby: although I should have deducted a point for making the footage so dark and grainy... :lame:

Swept through season 2 this past weekend, writers definitely succeeded in creating some of the most unlikable characters I've seen in a show.

I've been watching Castle Rock on Hulu. It is about the town of Castle Rock (the location of many a Steven King story) It is an original story rather than being an adaptation of any of King's stories but makes reference to them so it is set in the King universe. It is about a man played by Bill Skarsgard (Pennywise the clown in this years movie IT) who is found in a cage in an abandoned part of Shawshank Prison and the things that start to occur once he is let out. So far its been pretty good. its going to be an anthology series like American Horror Story so season two will have an entirely different cast even though it will take place in the same town.

For lighter fare I started watching Magic for Humans on Netflix. Think candid camera with a magician who likes to mess with people. The magic is good and some of the segments really show how people can be made to believe the most ridiculous things.

Black Sails is excellent - I got caught up on reading an article about the ladies having pubic wigs (I believe there is a technical term for that) - wonder why??!!

Just finished season 2 or Iron Fist on Netflix. I thought it was better than season 1. Still probably the weakest of the Marvel shows. I still think they should have just combined Iron Fist and Luke Cage into one show based on the Heroes for Hire comics instead of 2 seperate shows. Would be more interesting.

I am looking forward to Daredevil season 3 later this year.

On our Euro tour... with lots of planes... I wrapped up season two of Ozark... other than killing a priest and passing around his kid like an amazon gift to a lunatic and an FBI agent masturbating to surveillance and giving drugs to informers... what exactly was unlikeable? :help:  :lmao:

There was so much death and killing in Season 2 that it tipped my unbelievable meter...
The police in that town obviously don't give a shit when anyone goes missing and child protective services is nowhere to be seen....

I still give it a solid 7+ because it's dark entertainment and there were some nice boobies in the town strip joint... :yeahbaby:
As a side note... how are the strippers in ''Ozark'' much hotter than most strippers in Florida???? :yeahbaby: :please:

Even a pregnant stripper...

Just started Season 4 of Better Call Saul... the prequel to Breaking Bad's crazy lawyer character...
So far it's awesome BUT I find a lot of the scenes kind of slow...

Between the cartel, mafia, rednecks, corrupt cops and politicians, so many scumbag moments for just about every character in the show, even the kids! haha, I think it's great.

It's getting renewed for Season 3...

You have to like a show when you feel sorry for drug dealing psychotic rednecks...

I loved Ozarks. I tend to like the darker shows. yeah.... I'm amazed how hot the redneck strippers are. I've been to strip clubs in the Ozarks. Maybe you find one hot gem. But every chick looks like a Vegas stripper. So, that bit killed my suspension of disbelief. But yeah... I felt bad for the old redneck guy married to the psychopath. I couldn't help but think, how his life would be different without her. so, that show has an effect.

Have you checked out Bloodline? That's also a great show about psychopaths in the family. yeah... there is a theme with me. I like the dark stuff.
