I dont understand why all states can't be like Arizona... They don't do DST. I miss my hour!!!

We sprung forward in March, now it's time to Fall Back. I'm assuming everyone in the US has set their clocks back an hour by now, and gone back to sleep for an hour, lol.

Remember, the time change doesn't affect the cam schedule, it only affects your own clocks and watches. So be sure and set all if your manual time pieces back an hour.

And, for everyone else in the world, the VNA site schedules have the option to set the schedule for your local time zone. So, if you do that, you should be able to not miss any of the great shows. See you there.

The best things are the clocks that are linked to satellites and automatically adjust when the times change!

As the time changes/doesn't change wherever you live, don't forget to go to your Board preferences and set your time.

The "DST" option, as it existed, has been changed, too. Now you will set your relation to GMT or as they now call it, UTC (Universal Coordinated Time.) (Why they alla time gotta be changing crap? What the Hell was wrong with Greenwich Mean Time? )

At the upper right, by your avatar, click "User Control Panel."
Across the top, click Board Preferences.
Under "My Timezone" it will say "UTC+something," or "UTC-something." Move that back one hour and you should be good. (From "UTC-04:00" to "UTC-03:00," or "UTC+04:00" to "UTC+03:00" for example.) I think it was easier the old way, but hopefully you can finger it out easily.

Slick "Submit" below and you should be done.

Ok, folks In the US, time for clock dancing again. Tonight, we change back an hour tonight, 2 AM Sunday morning. If you live elsewhere, you may have changed all ready or maybe not yet. Here is a handy chart to help you. https://www.timeanddate.com/time/dst/2018.html

Don't forget to set your board preferences as well. UTC does not move. So, you may need to move back an hour if you were following DST. At the upper right of this page, under your Profile name, click User Control Panel.

On the menu at the upper left, click "Board Preferences." Under "Global Settings," move your time zone back one hour. For example, mine reads "UTC -06:00" Tomorrow morning, I will move it back to ""UTC -7:00."

Remember, all cam show listings are referenced to Eastern time. Now it will be EST. If your country or locale does not observe Daylight Savings Time, you have nothing to change. Lucky you

The European Commission started a poll about daylight saving time: Yes or No + arguments.
As a result most of the people in Europe don't want it! Even More: Most of the participants were angry about it. (Me too...BTW)

Now they plan to abrogate it... but they gave each single country the chance to choose that on their own.
What...? Wait a moment... Yes, it's true. Every country in Europe can choose whether to install daylight saving time or not.......... Uhm......... OK, that means, that France & Germany (same time-zone) can have a different time.... Uhm..... and Luxemburg a different time than Belgium .... and the Netherlands or Italy.... even worse: will Iceland and Greenland be 2 hours ahead or one hour behind us?... now I'm totally confused.

This is typical for Europe, where too many cooks spoil the soup

Carl they wanted to fix it in TN so bad that all of us in the normal Central time zone would be in the Mountain part of the year and other parts of the state in the Atlantic time zone. Some states have thought about changing thing too. could you imagine all the flight chaos.

What an absolute nightmare. Europe will be a disaster. It's bad enough you guys don't do it the same time as us (or we don't do it the same as you however you wanna look at it) but this? Driving through all those countries you could have to change your clock forward or back 4 or 5 times! It's an accident waiting to happen! Trains can crash into each other!

I don't like daylight savings, either. The daylight savings in Melbourne, Australia started in October and for a time had the time difference, figured out as 14 hours and then 15 hours when it started and then why the cam show start time was showing 16 hour diffence. Then I realised the daylight savings where you are had finished. What confusion !!

I'm not so much opposed to DST because I'm not sure I can adjust to having sunrises at 5:30 in the morning, even though I do work during the night.

But, yeah, it needs to be a bit more uniform worldwide....from first Sunday in March to last Sunday in October would do fine for me.

Yeah, DST doesn't bother me, either. But it would be really nice if the whole friggin world could agree on just ONE thing, like, "Let's all do this at once, OK?" And I still think Arizona and Hawaii have the right idea. (Fuck y'all. We ain't changin'!" lol.)

I know that, in the Spring, we lose an hour. But how about every November when you get an extra hour. Who the Hell's going to bitch about an extra hour in bed with the Uber-exciting Vicky Vette? Lol

I have a hard enough time just keeping track of time zones! This morning I had a conference call which I thought was scheduled at 11 PST, so I was thinking it was at 2 my time, but they called me at 11:10 saying where the hell are you we are all in the meeting!

OK, Daylight savings time again. America changed forward last night. Europe changes at 1 AM on March 31st. I was reading recently that Europe wants to do away with DST. The discussions are, of course, centered around whether they want permanent DST (summer time) or Winter time. Whichever, let's hope they succeed. My personal opinion is that 12 Noon occurs when the sun is straight up. Whenever that is, make it permanent.
