OK I'm convinced...I'm giving up my California timeshare to take up residence in Florida for three weeks out of the year....but that 5 1/2 hour flight is going to kill me !!!

I have it on good authority that a certain VNA girl is taking the plunge and coming to Florida full time ... :)

Half of my family ran off to Florida...it makes me think if I should run away to there too, someday. XD

Yep, it's true! Sold the house in less than a day and so far our inspection went pretty well, just some minor repairs but nothing too costly. Today is the appraisal which I am nervous about but nothing I can do..maybe I should try to influence the guy's decision by wearing next to nothing and having a few "wardrobe malfunctions"!

Anyway, if all keeps going well I'll be in FL at the end of September!!!!!

That's great Maggie!! I don't blame u for wanting to move from the winters in Michigan! I told my hubby long time ago I don't want to live any where north of North Carolina all the way across the country. I am not a cold weather person!

This is making my decision not to move down full time another year even harder

Being a native angelino is ok ,would never argue about it ,cuz lots of dangerous places and crazy people who would take your life for a twenty bag of crap ,and i live in (worse-poorest) part of porn valley,shit about two weeks ago a cathoLick nun got held up ,about a 1/4 mile from my house,so only arguement i would say about it is we got mountains here-you can go to the slopes and surf on same day -at right time of year
i never been to florida so can't really talk shit about it ,but it looks lot cleaner living then hollyweird,and plus vicky's award winners are there to brighten up our lives

There are a LOT of great things about LA...

1. Women
2. Disneyland
3. Malibu Beach
4. Beverly Hills
5. Tons and tons of restaurants and nightlife

BUT... too much traffic, smog and honestly, you can get all those things in Florida for a much cheaper standard of living. If you can put up with 3 or 4 oppressive months of humidity, Florida has girls, disneyland, beaches, nightlife and NO STATE TAXES...

No state taxes? Sign me up! Haha. I wish I could go to Disneyland. I've never been there... :(

I agree Rokkerr, u can find the same things in FL. I could put up with the humidity and do without the traffic!!

Well, lets see, in Alaska we have:
1. Not enough women, the ones we have are highly looked after, some are even chased after.
2. Fan Fuckingtastic Mountains, including Mt. Denali the highest mountain in North America
3. Lots of Great Fishing, and Hunting.
4. An excess of Bears and Wolves, any state wanting more are welcome to apply for our excess.
5. King Crab, and fresh Salmon most of the year.
6. Every permanent Alaskan shares in a dividend from our Oil production every year, (Unkda sam gets his portion off the top).
7. NO State Tax's.
8. No Drought, and lush plants and flowers most places in the state.
9. More small planes per capita than any other State in the Union. And lots of land to fly over if you feel like just taking a flight seeing trip.
10. More coast line than any other state.
11. Lots of free space to sprawl out in, run around in, and just enjoy.
12. Walt take note here, almost everywhere people are living we have internet service! lol
13. Fantastic Northern Lights displays.
14. World Class skiing.
15. Mild summers reaching into the 90's in some places, and averaging in the mid 70-s to low 80's most places.
and NO STATE TAX + a free money give away to permanent citizens of the state every year.

and ya there are some drawbacks, but Hurricanes and tornadoes are not included, no snakes, only 1 poisonous spider. NO heavy traffic, no large crowds, and humidity that rarely pass's 50%. We do have earthquakes, but hey did you feel the earth move can be a favorite statement to your lady!
