I was in amateur rodeo when I was a young, real young I did sheep riding, all I ever did was eat dirt! Later when I was a teen I did team calf roping with Vanessa, I roped it's neck and she roped the hoof. I was ok, but she could rope anything, except in the fucking rodeo!
I also did the steer riding, that was rough, but I loved it, I did make 8 seconds a few times. Doesn't sound long but try it on 600lbs of what are you doing on my back and it's a lifetime! Only once was I scared, I was thrown against the rail, the outrider was trying to get between me and the steer. I was trying to climb out of the arena, the horse lost it's balance when the steer pushed it and I thought I was going to get caught between the horse and fence. Next thing my dad and uncle Charlie pull me into the stands. I thanked them, then saw the steer was gone, jumped back in the arena and ran out. My dad and uncle went to the back and I was so embarrassed when they saw me sitting on a bail of straw crying, a doctor was there, as well as lots of cowboys (as the song goes, cowgirls don't cry), they took me to the hospital and I had a dislocated shoulder.
I wanted to try bull riding, but never had the nerve to sit on 2000lbs of a pissed off animal, that's why I want to go with everyone to ride that bull in L.A.
I went to such exotic places like, Thorsby, Sunnybrook, Bruce, Tofield, Holden, some of those places almost a 1000 people lived there!
