CAM ISSUES - Feedback, Voting, Mobile!

Yeah, it's all fine for me. DrDave, I'd suggest remove Flash, reboot, reinstall Flash, reboot again, then try it.

Must be the fever... ok not funny... sorry, I haven't heard any complaints from anyone else... all shows going on normally...

The cam room still will not release me. I need to do further testing, I guess. It seems to be random. But sometimes it won't release my Admin log-in, and yesterday after closing my members log in, I could still hear the audio and my cam light was still on. I logged back in under another name. My cam window was still there, altho it was dark. Apparently my cam not broadcasting to the network. But the members cam box was still there.

I had to close my entire browser to get the audio to stop and the Cam light to go off. Don't remember which browser now. Let me do more testing and take notes before you go chasing ghosts.

So just close your browser? I really think it's a browser issue not a cam issue, the browser is not releasing it...

I may have 6 or 8 tabs open, and really don't want to lose everything. But no one else seems to be having the problem. And I have seen some times when, after closing the tab, I can still have the audio, but it sometimes drops after 30 or 40 seconds. So you may be right. I'll work on it here.

Had two disconnects from the system, both said Stream Failure, no stream is available please try again. Once in Lelu's show, as a user, and just after I signed into Tasha's show as an admin, both times I had to reconnect to the system, fortunatly got through first time.

Why does this never happen to me? could it be your internet going down just for a split second? a nanosecond is all it takes to interrupt a video stream...

Really never happens to me, either. And I'm there a lot.

My problem as noted, is the system not dropping me when I close the tab, or taking it's own sweet time to drop me. And since no one else is reporting that, I have to assume it's something either here or between here and there.

Vicky, in the case of a double show, like ErotiqueTV, can folks vote once each hour, or just once for the 2-hour block?

I think just once per show, cause it's all one show. If they wanted double votes, they would have to log out and back in and start a second show, because the system has no other way to differentiate if it's just one show going overtime...

Vicky, we are still having problems with the Cam room members lists, primarily with the Mobile list. Some people will obviously be logged in on mobile, but won't be on the (mobile) members list. Sometimes there will be 2 or 3 on the list, but the count still shows 0. And, of course, sometimes they will be logged in, they will be on the list, and the count will reflect the proper number. It seems to be hit and miss.

Carl and DrDave have also reported that some folks who are obviously logged into the main room and are on the member list do not appear on the whisper list, altho I haven't seen that myself yet. But I am not usually checking the whisper list, so I wouldn't know. Am going to send you a PM with more particulars.

For example, last night at Julia's show, we had problems with a mobile member. He kept asking Julia if she did privates. Several members jumped in to provide an answer (I wish they'd let the model answer their own questions. But, in their defense, I guess I have done the same thing.) But I DO feel that some of the models could help the issue if they would answer the questions. They are obviously looking at the chat and answering comments, but some they ignore. And that just makes it worse, because the member gets frustrated.

Anyway, this guy asked like 7 times if Julia did privates. The more he asked, the more members would answer him. but Julia never did (maybe because the members were jumping in.) I commented to GJ about doing something, and GJ replied that he wasn't on the members list. Later this guy also made a comment about how his chat was frozen. So that explains it all. But it also illustrates the problems we can have. This guy was obviously crazy about Julia, and was happy to see her live. But his questions got overbearing and members started getting upset. GJ even asked Julia to reply out loud, and I never heard her do so.

But sometimes we have no choice. Obviously he was having technology problems, and we had no way of knowing that. I would have muted him myself. But he wasn't on the mobile members list, so there was nothing anyone could do.

At least he wasn't crude or mean. His problem would have resulted in muting, not kicking or banning. But the issue is that sometimes, mobile members are in the room but not on the list. I don't know if it's the particular type of unit he's on or what. There's no real way to find out. We may just have to live with it.

While in Adrian Morgan's show I got kicked 4 times pretty much one after the other. Twice when I went to type in chat room after getting back in. Not sure about the time but it was after about 40 minutes of the show.

Zany wasn't the only one, Trent was in and out maybe a half dozen times, as well as others who were in and out, and back in two times, some times three times. Very Strange. No other problems with the show, or members.

I can't remember the last time I was kicked out. If it's only a few people, there has to be something else going on. Possibly something in the interaction between the computer and the Webair servers?

Mobile update: All of us mods are seeing people log in who do not show up on the members list. Some do, but it seems most don't. And the count may or may not keep correct track.
