This whole fascinating story of Vicky and Rokkerr would make a perfect romantic novel, then maybe a feature film; hey the possibilities are endless!

Yes I agree Steve. Last night, I went back and started reading some of Dave's very interesting stories of his life. And on most of these fascinating accounts, it is on a very personal aspect or side of him that we don't see too often. I think I spent about 2 hours just reading these wondeful stories.
Very good Dave!!!
And its author was none other than Batracer. I, and a whole lot of people on the board; like Walter, Julie, Benny, and Torp haven't heard that name in a very long time. Yes he'll be remembered for this post as well as the other post which named rock and roll bands alphabetically. It's really a shame that he hasn't been here for any of these marvelous stories.

reminded me I had been missing for nearly 2 years. Amazing how time flies when you are not watching. That rock & roll band made alot of rank increases in short order. Seems bat was on the three month tour and who knows when someone will pop in... Popeye just reappared... This place is like a magnet...how does that saying go "just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in"John_fromNY wrote:And its author was none other than Batracer. I think Vicky said it best about this forum when she quoted that line from Hotel CaliforniaTorp wrote: reminded me I had been missing for nearly 2 years. "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave". How true.

Benny could be but I liken it more to the Soprano's Line - "Just when you think your out, they pulled me back in" as Silvio Dante quotes the line of Michael Corleone from the Godfather (3, i think).Benny wrote:I think Vicky said it best about this forum when she quoted that line from Hotel California "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave". I am brand new here, first post actually, interesting story. Relationships aren't cut and dry, at least not the ones worth a damn. I find that a little out of your comfort zone crazy seems to really go a long way with the opposite sex. I have one hard and fast rule- never pick up a date in a cargo van with blacked out windows. Doesn't matter what you say, it just can't be sold.

Is that the Voice of Experience speaking, Frank? Did you end up with an irate father chasing you down the street with a shotgun??

Didn't realize I have been gone so long.....
Busy year. Man have I got some stories to tell you guys.
It really pays to read the Forum because I never knew the story behind Vicky & Rokkerr! This is like something out of a fairytale if you will. Rokkerr, you're a damn lucky man :) And I had no idea that you were the one who introduced the VNA to the Saddle Ranch, OMG! Uhmmmmm. This is awesome! I'll tell ya, to all of the members...I hope you are able to meet Rokkerr & Vicky in person because they are down to earth people...it's truly amazing to a country girl like me from NC LOL! Gosh....
Excellent story Rokkerr!

Oh Vectis...... ! It was an awesome read! Rokkerr's cliff hangers were like Friday's episodes of soap operas that have you anticipating for Monday's show and trust me Rokkerr had me hanging on til his next installment... which I was very lucky enough to be able to scroll down & read. .....Kisha....

Just read the whole story, and it is a nice read. With a happy ending, in more than one way.
@vectis now it is like buying a dvdbox set of your favorite tv programme and watching them all in one go. Just skip the cliffhangers.
