Did not bore me in the slightest, Walter - thank you for taking the time to share all that. To be perfectly honest with you, with the amount of change my life has undergone this last year I guess I am not really fully invested to perhaps look for alternative work or go after something else right now. And I've always been a work to live not live to work kind of person if that makes any sense at all. As long as I can pay the bills and indulge in my hobbies and interests that is the only really important thing for me. But yes, I am in my early 40's and this is the longest job I have had to date actually.
FAQ with Vicky about her life
I work in retail - I do have responsibilities beyond what the title may suggest but I am simply a shop assistant. Many years ago, as in when I originally started in retail 3 shops prior to the one I am at now, I may have entertained the idea of one day opening my own but now with everything that I've experienced from working in them (even if it were more along the lines of one of my own personal interests such as gaming or books perhaps) I have very little inclination to do so now. Over the years I have developed a few skills, most notably key cutting, but there are still a few grey areas there. And as I really said above in my reply to Walter, where I am at now with having a things go topsy turvy the last year personally - I am more at the "bitching about it phase" rather than actually wanting to properly change anything. Yet. Haha!
Oh I agree, but at the moment - again with everything that's sort of gone on here behind the scenes as it were - I am more keeping an eye and ear open for chance and opportunity rather than actively seeking it out. If that makes sense.

I kind of believe that's what you have to do in today's world - keep your eyes and ears open, as opposed to actively looking. Maybe a combination of the two.
I can resist everything except temptation.
