Don't recognize the name or the face, but it sounds like a sad death. Hopefully she is in a happier place now.

I was saddened to hear that Tommy Smothers passed away. An underrated comedian in my opinion. He was the same age as my dad is. My dad said he met Tom & Dick Smothers at the airport here back in the 60's or 70's.

I really hate this thread! So sad.

BTW Lance, how old did your Dad make it to? Did you say he was still traveling without assistance at 104?

That was my granddad. I flew to England in 1998 for his 100th birthday celebration there. At 102 he sold his house and moved back to India - everyone he knew in England had passed and at least he had family in India. At 104 he was on a trip back to England (travelling solo) just for a visit and that is where he passed.

Because of the timing of his birth, he was a rare centurion who actually lived in 3 centuries - 1898 - 2002.

Can you imagine being a 20-year-old in 1918? He must have lived quite a fantastic life, Lance.

Unbelievably sad. I always felt sorry for her. She never could seem to adjust to normal life or figure out what to do after porn.

He had some stories to tell. Like the first time a plane landed near a small village in what is now Pakistan and everyone rushed to see this incredible machine. He went from before the Wright brother first flight to moon landings.

Jesse Jane dead at 43 :(
I know of her and I've seen some of her work. I always had the impression she was in control of her life, but from what Vicky posted, apparently not. Still, a sad loss.
