Drove from Mid GA to Houston, Texas last week. Paid $1.87 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. 😆 it was a Pilot truck center with an Arby's & a casino off of I-10. In Houston on the SW side gas was as high as $2.79, then 3 miles away it was $2.09.

Today I paid $1.79 per gallon at a Kroger Grocery store, I had a 10 cent discount for shopping there.
When I drove to Houston & back it cost me total $109.17 (in a 2014 Nissan Versa Note).

Was out and about yesterday and saw a station at $1.82 ($1.92 in my home area.) So I stopped there. Made it $1.77 with my GasBuddy card. I still had half a tank, but wanted to get some of this. At 7 gallons, that's $0.35 saved. Gee, 10 more of those and I can stop at the bar for a beer, lol. (It does add up, tho.)

Well, it happened again. Looks like every station in El Paso went up 20¢ - 30¢/gal overnight. Prices went down 2¢ - 3¢ at a time, now it all jumps back up 30¢ overnight. But gas companies aren't in collusion.

Update on prices here in England
Supermarket price (usually cheapest) is around £1.17 per litre. I litre = 0.26417 US gallons - £4.429 per US gallon. So that's $5.84 per gallon
Motorway services its £1.42 per litre. = £5.375 per US gallon . So that's $7.09 per gallon.
Here was certainly a sin worth sinning and I applied myself with characteristic vigour to its practice
