Yes, TheOldFar--oops, TheOldGuy remembers both of those. They were part of what was called "Bubble Gum Rock," started by, I believe, The Archies (John?) As some of the comments mentioned, I had heard "Billy..." by Bo Donaldson, but I liked the video. (Velcro suits? Hell I still have my Nehru Jacket!)

Thanks for enlightening me Rokkerr. Just like one of the comments said, I had never heard the Paper Lace version before, only the Bo Donaldson one. I'll check out the other video............

"The Night Chicago Died", that's the only song I had ever heard from Paper Lace until today. When I made that playful jab at Tony for Paper Lace, that's the song I was referring to.

Hey Dave, and I thought I had too much time on my hands.

All of you guys are over the edge - and yes, you do have too much time on your hands... :D

My personal favorite - from another band, but crazy just the same:

...What about the "FlowerPot" guys with the black leather jackets... those guys from Akron, OH - yes, Jerry Casale, Mark Mothersbaugh, Bob "I" Mothersbaugh, and Bob "II" Casale, and Alan Myers - yes the group called. ....... D E V O !!!... "Whip It Good," guys  :o  :D
