Well, I know I can't post 350 messages in two weeks. But, really, he sounded POed and that bothers me. I guess that even tho we all realise that this is all in great fun, it still may be possible to offend someone. I mentioned somewhere else how hard it is to be funny or jocular in print. So many things can be taken differently when you don't have the 'personal' input - facial expressions, hand movements (no, not that one, you clowns,)and other inflections you get when you're face to face, or at least talking on the phone.

I am under a pretty good impression that there are some who may have posted here (not 'our crowd') that think that Walt and Mable are just a couple of sick twits. But I don't feel that I can sit around worrying every minute about who I've offended today. If I offend someone, I'm sorry. I'm sure that I don't mean that. But I have learned that it is true, you really can't please everyone. No one can. So, the ones who like what I say will joke back. And the offended ones will move on.

I am worried that I somehow offended John271. Have you noticed that he hasn't been back since I won Vicky's last contest? The last thing I want to do is offend someone. John271 (and NYJohn as well,) we need you here. I know that you realise that, altho we sometimes get kind of 'risque,' I don't think any of us means to offend. I love laughing, and I love it when I can make someone else laugh. Conversely, yes, it hurts when I realise I have offended someone. I am dealing with an issue in my personal life right now, where I greatly offended a good friend. And I may not get my friend back. Sometimes we all need to think before we hit 'enter.' We need to read it as the other person. Then, if we're happy, we can hit 'send.'

In the 2 years I've been here, I've come to love all of you as 'friends.' Not friends I could call and bum $200 from (Dang, are you sure?? teehee), but friends who like to joke and play and dig and act preposterous. If I ever offend, please PM me and let me know. In return you will get an apology and, if possible, an explanation. (I promise, I won't bite.) And if you don't let me know, I might just lose another 'friend.' And that's the worst hurt of all.
