Saturday was Gunther's moms birthday and with being Mother's Day I thought what's a better way to celebrate then for a bunch of us to go and see male strippers! OMG did we ever have fun, of course I never watched the guys at all :innocent: Most of the guys were at our table for a drink some of the time during the night. This one guy he pulled me on the stage, how come when a girls dances she can't bring a guy on stage, but guys can bring girls on? Of course if he brought a guy up there the place would empty fast! So anyway I went on the stage with him, he wanted me to strip and make it look like I was giving him a :bj: I thought oh yeah I'm doing that with Gunther's mom and sisters here :noway! I stayed on stage for a few minutes then left with all my clothes on. I don't think Gunther's mom knows I was a stripper before. There was 8 of us and 5 of them were really drunk. Gunther's mom was so hungover yesterday, so she stayed most of her day in bed :lmao:

Sunday morning I took my mom to church and then for lunch, such a difference in moms

Yesterday driving home I was still worked up after Saturday night I saw a cut line that we drove :racing in and we went crazy :nannerfuck2: :bj:

I'm helping my cousin with his seeding right now, like everyone hes so far behind because of how cold and wet April was. I thought dads farm was big 1800 acres, my vousins is 3500 acres and he's a dairy farmer milking 45 cows. I can't believe how much work this is! We got his first field seeded today, only 5 more to go!

On the weekend my niece was entered in a rodeo and there's no way I was going to miss that. She's a total hell on wheels, not sure where she got that from? Saturday she was in the barrel racing and Sunday she entered the steer riding! She had a kick ass barrel race, 16.02 seconds, at 12 years old that's damn fast, honestly at any age that's fast! She has the best trainer I know (Vanessa's mom). It doesn't look like much but it can be so dangerous for both horse and rider, one stumble and who knows where you'll land.

Sunday we went back and I really didn't want her in steer riding, we talked about it on the way there. She told me she could handle it and she said "you did it, so why are you so worried?" What could I say, other then have a good ride cowgirl! The animals are about 500-600 lbs, now there not mean like bulls, but still big. You have to stay on 8 seconds to be judged. She was doing really good, but I knew she was going to fall. Just as the buzzer went she went flying off. She bounced up, grabbed her pink cowgirl hat and ran out of the arena. Then they announced that the judges said she only stayed on 7.90 seconds. The crowd lets out a awww, not me I yelled "Bull fucking shit, are you assholes that stupid, we all heard the buzzer then she fell" one of the outriders said to me to watch my language but I said "come on you know she got fucked on that score" I could see that he knew I was right! I left the arena and went outside where Gail was and she was so upset. All the other competitors were over taking to her and the cowboys that work it all thought she made the ride. I gave her a hug and told her I was proud of her. She has this just cause I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't do what the guys can do. I know my sister says I'm a bad influance on her, and this just adds to that. My sister is such an ass and has no clue what fun is. So she's on the rodeo circuit now, but unless I'm home I don't know if she can get to them.

She's doing really good, she got married a couple months ago in New Zealand. She flew her family there, and offered me a flight, but you know. She still working in The Middle East and passed the bar exam, I think that's what she called it, all I know is she's a lawyer now. She told me a while ago that what she does really sucks and she's taking some online classes for another degree. She hoping to come home for a month this summer, it's been a year since she's been home.

Got married? Cool. Flew her family to New Zealand? She's doing REAL good. I know you'll get to see her when she comes home to visit. Tell her congratulations and try not to take her out on the town and get her arrested HAHahaha.

Of course I only teach my nieces to be respectful little ladies, just like I am!! Always wearing dresses, and never swear or speak out of line, and if you believe that, then I'm sure you'll think that Fort Vermillion is Miami.

I wonder why there's no smilies on here for me?

We went camping last weekend, even though it was raining hard. We went south of Zama City to a camp ground near there. We bought a travel trailer from my mom and took that with us, its a 4 hour drive from home. We got there and it's pouring rain and 9C. We both set everything up and I went in the trailer, I was soaked and so cold. I turned on the heat and was going to take a hot shower. The heater never kicked in and I thought that I forgot to turn on the propane bottles. I go back outside and take off the cover and the bottles aren't there! Gunther had gone to buy so ice and he walks up and asks what am I doing. I threw the cover towards him and said where the fuck are the propane bottles? He said I must have forgot to put them back on when I washed them. I had to ask why the hell did you wash the bottles, fucking neat freak! He said it won't be that bad, we'll just cook outside over a fire. I said I'm not eating hotdogs and marshmallows all weekend. We put out the awning and covered the table, then I remembered my dad always carried a Coleman stove in the trailer and it was tucked away. So we were able to at least cook something. The hot water heater is electric/propane and so is the fridge, so that was ok. We rented a boat cause he loves to fish, so off we went in the rain. He stopped and asked me to hand him his fishing box thing and I got up to grab it. My sneakers were wet and slippery and I lost my balance at the same time he's saying don't stand up. Next thing I'm in the water, OMFG it was so cold. I was cursing a blue streak and he's trying to help me back in and I thought why not. I pulled as hard as I could and he falls in too. He had this your fucking bitch look on his face and I started to laugh. He looks and see the boat is drifting away and swims for it, I just kept my head above water. He was mad but still came and got me. We never got any fishing in all weekend, but we did keep that trailer damn warm!! We were told there were grizzly bears in the area and to make noise, like that's a problem with me around. Even with cooking outside and all the rain we did have fun, except I got so sick. Next time we go camping we're going to make a check list, cause we forgot so much stuff

I had an awesome weekend with the kids from the school. They had the awards on Friday afternoon, now it's a small school so they gave out graduation certificates to the grade 12 and grade 9 students. They also gave out things like the most improved student, highest marks in the grade their in, most popular and on and on. Finally the President from the students union came out, she thanked staff and kids, shared a few times from the year. She then said that the kids from grade 7 and up had got together and wanted to give out a new award, she said it's going to be the first to hang on the new "school sports wall of fame." She held up a plaque that they made in shop class and read from it. It said "To the person that shows leadership, a never quit attitude, school spirt, a mentor to all and mostly a true friend." We call this award the "School Jewel" and no one deserves this more the our Julie. I really didn't know what to do, but a boy sitting beside me grabbed me and pulled me on the stage. I stood there and looked at them , tears rolling down my face and say "thanks guys, you have no idea how special everyone of you are to me. You all made me feel so good about about myself and accepted a total stranger and giving me your trust. I told them if we had one more practice I'd run their asses off for making me cry. I said to them, I love you all, thank you. The kids were standing in front of the stage and I said "catch" and fell into them.

WOW! Julie! Kinda puts my shirt in the dirt after that last comment I made about this, on your other post. But I still don't understand why the principal said you shouldn'[t come if they were giving you this award. Was the whole thing a set up? If so, I certainly take back everything I said about your particular school (not about schools in general, tho, haha.) Especially if they did give out sports awards.

In any case, a BIG congratulations to you. There is no doubt in my mind you deserved this Big time. Forget Gunther, if I had been there, I'da taken you out for a big steak dinner myself (ok, and all "your" kids, too, lol.)

Love you, Girl. Congratulations! (Didn't I tell you two or three years ago that things would get better? So who rocks now, huh? Hahahaha.) :shandalips: :heartflames: :drinker: :yeahbaby: :friends:

Well, I can imagine how upset some folks would have been if you didn't show, and they found out that the principal asked you not to go, and they had this planned. That looks why they campaigned so hard to get you there. You are very important to them. It's people like you, Julie, who really DO make a difference.

Wish you could have taught my kid. He would have learned how to fall in the snow, how to set the woods on fire, how to fall in the lake, lol. In other words, he would have learned TONS about how to live life and how to enjoy the world.

Ok, he does know that part, but I think he would have learned it better from you.

They should make a movie about you.

Walt I don't think I'm doing much more then just standing up for these kids that so deserve a break. You know how things are in the north, it's a total different life and I just want them to know they can be and do so much. You know I was given a second chance when I had given up on myself. Between my dad, Ness, Gunther and so many of you here, none of you let me use an escuse to become a product of the jail system. There's so much alcoholism and domestic violence here that it breaks my heart, but we're doing our best to break the cycle. Gunther sees it first hand as has called social services cause a kid has somehow fallen and got broken bones. One boy Dylan he's 6' 10" 17 and so sweet, he's the one that pulled me one the stage. Last winter his mom got mad at him when she was drunk and threw him out. He walked to town in his coat jeans an runners, about 5 miles. He went in the hospital to warm up and Gunther saw him and took him in the ER cause he had hypothermia and warmed him up. He phoned me and said Dylan was in a bad way and I raced there. I went in his room and he cried and talked to me for over one hour, all I did was hold him. He wound up living with us and I told him he had to stay in school, get a job and just be a teenage boy for once. He eats like a fucking horse haha, but he's changed so much and had been acepted to NAIT and will take Forest Technolagy in the fall. I read somewhere that to who much is given, much is expected! Well I've been given so much and I want to just be a small help here.

Friday night was the dance and I danced with every kid that I knew and lots that I didn't know. They even played lots of country music for me. Then one if the kids got on the mic and said Julie once more for good times ok, I said what are you talking about and the boys came up behind me and poured a 5 gallon pain of ice water over me! I screamed you fucking fucks your so lucky I love you guys! One of the kids asked if I was ever going to see the grads again an I said you know where I live and I'll hunt you down if you stay away to long. We stayed till closing and I had those that could come over for ice cream. It's all about creating memories and I have so many form them

Walt they already did Dumb and Dumber, unless they make a sequel to it, that would work :bluewink:

Walt I don't think I'm doing much more then just standing up for these kids that so deserve a break. And that's exactly what they need, Julie. Kids in small, out-of-the-way towns have very little chance at success and advancement unless they can somehow break the cycle and escape that small town. For someone from the outside to come in and give them that exposure, that confidence in themselves, is exactly what they need.

You help them see the future.

Last Monday I drove home, I had so much stuff to do. That night I took my niece to the Ponoka Stampede, she was helping there at the rodeo. She was saying how much it hurt to put on her cowboy boots and I told her to suck it up princess. After it was done we were driving home and she said her foot was really bothering her. I looked at it and said lets get it checked out, damn if she didn't have a broken ankle. I felt like hell for what I said to her, but she was upset cause she couldn't help at the rodeo.

Wednesday night was the Talyor Swift concert in Edmonton, I took both my nieces there. We were liking at the line for souvenirs and it was so long, I knew the radio station was giving away stuff and took them there, they gave them each a t shirt, glow stick and a thing for their wrist that lights up as the music was played. It saved me $130, so I looked like a hero to them! I took them to their seats, (separate, thanks to TicketMaster) Gail was almost there and an usher says she can't take her crutches to her seat. I said she has to get to it first then I was going to take them. He had this I'm confused look on his face, but I got her seated then took Desi to hers. I went to get a pass to be there without a ticket and told the girl what happened with their tickets. She asked how old they are and I said 16-12, she looks at a list and says she can move them closer to the stage beside each other. So I moved them and then I went to where I was to sit. I was told that I wasn't allowed to watch the concert, but I saw most of it. Like Taylor Swift or hate her, she puts on a great show, I really like her.

Yesterday was our 1st anniversary Gunther took me to a place called Von's in Edmonton. It's so nice there, after we went to Cook County Saloon. He told me to bring a change of clothes and I never knew why, but I'm glad I did. Today we're celebrating Canada Day in Wetaskiwin, but not sure what really is going on, just gonna enjoy the sun

So very glad that all worked out, Julie. I'm not a country music person, but I like Taylor. Is it mainly because she's just so ShandaFay cute? Could be, but I like her. I think that was cemented when I saw the Taylor Swift/Mick Jagger clip of "As Tears Go By," posted in the "All Other Music" topic."

A year all ready? Dang, time really does fly when you're having fun. Happy Anniversary, Julie.
