That seems so typical that when the parents are too strict the child rebels and does the opposite. I don't know why some parents are that way (religious or not) cause it sure is hard on the kid! Sounds to me you are doing a good job coaching! Good luck.

Sometimes parents can be embarrassing to their kids too.

I've been single now for almost a year and a half, I've been dating some, but mostly having fun being single, lots of free meals Just before Christmas I started seeing a guy from a town about 50kms away, we played hockey on different teams, he owns a restaurant/bar. About 10 days later we're playing hockey against his team, he's calling me a whore all night, I just yapped back at him. That's a hell of a story! Love the effort and its great that you let people know its stolen...... But not worth you getting in a fight over. He had a very nice hose Vicky, but like most firefighters here, as soon as they can find work elsewhere, their gone.

I was asked a while ago if I wanted to go to Fort Chipewyn for a few days, one of the guys at the gym said he'd run the gym for me, so I went. The only way to get there is by plane in the summer, so I thought. I went there with a guy that's a wildlife conservation officer, and we went by boat. I wrapped my phone in a zip lock baggie so it wouldn't her wet, knowing that falling in the water is something I'm damn good at. I went to take some pictures, and realized that my phone was still on the seat of my truck. The ride was so amazing, lots of wildlife, bears, moose, elk, even saw a wolverine. We stopped at one place and he told me he had to check out the nesting site of some bald eagles, we tied the boat to some trees and walked about 1km, till he saw where they were. We watched as the parents flew back and forth with food for the young, couldn't see much, cause the nest was on top of the trees, but it was cool to see them. We made it to Fort Chip, but he had checked out people fishing and what they had along the way. We went for some lunch, we both had a sandwich, I had a salad and he had fries, the bill was almost $50, I knew it was going to be expensive, but I didn't think it would be that much. Most of the time we spent at Wood Buffalo National Park, we would stop and he was writing down things he saw, I have no clue what he was looking at, me I was watching the buffalo herd, one of them was having trouble keeping up with the herd. He told me she was old and she won't live long, the wolves that follow them will take her soon. I never saw any, but you could sure hear them, they have a very lonely sound when they howel. We stayed there for 2 nights, had so much fun, I'd go again anytime, if he asks me.

Having spent time out in the bush in Alaska, I can imagine the things you saw. I always said that living in Alaska was like living in an outdoor zoo. Brown bear, elk moose, clamming in Clam Gulch, dip-netting for salmon in Chitina. Someone shot a brown bear out at Sparrevohn where I was assigned, so we had a big picnic that weekend.

I haven't updated this for a long time, well I've been having fun. I dated a few guys, but none for very long, one guy on our second date told me that I shouldn't have guys at the gym, cause they flirt with me and I flirt with them. So I said that I should kick all the guys out, and he nodded, so I said, how bout I start with you, and left.


Every mourning when I get my hot chocolate I always sit and talk to the guys that have coffee there, and one day this young guy joins them. He would show up for a few days, then be gone for a while, then back. I found out he worked on the rigs, so lots of out of town work, he's not from here he's from a town not far away. He asked me out finally and I said yes, I told him to pick me up at the gym at 8, cause I should be done. When he showed up he was dressed so nice, with flowers, and I still had people there. I politely told them to get the fuck out of the gym showered, dressed and we left. He took me to a nice place where he lives in La Crete, we had an awesome dinner, he ordered wine, I told him I don't drink, so we had root beer. After dinner he had this, "what to do" look on his face, so I said, show me around town, then lets go 4X4ing. We were ripping around and he saw some people at a bush party, so we went there just for a few minutes, I wasn't dressed for that. I wanted to go back to his place, but thought, no let him make the first move. We went back to my place and he walked me to the door, I asked him in, and he said, you live at your gym? I shrugged and said, yup, let me give you a tour, thinking I'd show him my bedroom last. Still nothing so I offered him some juice and we sat down at the table, he says, I hope you had a good time tonight, cause I'd like to ask you out again, but not not sure if you want to go out with an older guy. I looked at him and said, how old are you? He told me he was 31, not something to say when I had a mouthful of water, as I spit it all over. I told him that was ok with me, he asked me what was so funny, and I told him I was 42. He told me he had to help his parents in the morning, kissed me on the cheek, told me he'd call me and left. I thought, well that went sideways, next day he called and asked me to a movie. We've been out 8 times in the last 6 weeks, and he still hasn't jumped me, trust me I want it bad, but I'm going to wait and see what he does. If nothing happens by Christmas, I'm going to rape him
