For how much fuel?

I will convert liters to gallons if I have to (and probably post the conversion if you don't), but I WON'T spell it 'litres'!
57.8 litRES
15.29 US gallons (3.78 litRES/gal)
12.74 imperial gallons (4.53 litres/gal)

That was for 91 octane.
Thanks for the conversion values. Now I don't have to look them up!

58 litERS of 91 octane?! Mind if I ask what you are driving?

And, for that matter, Vicky, what do you put in your corvette? Do you use your corvette as a daily driver, or just for fun?
The car is a BMX 535 GT. It actually only needs 89 octane. but costco only sell 87 and 91. And their 91 is cheaper than 89 at regular pumps. Sometimes I have gone half and half at Costco, but usually its too much bother.

Didn't know where to put this, so here it is.

I like Corvettes, of course, I know a pretty girl who owns one. Don't know what year this is, but I don't like it, so I'm interested in what that pretty girl thinks. I think the back end is WAY too big and has no styling at all.

I agree - the back end is way too big on this model.

I do like the new ones. Except for the exhaust pipes placed in the middle - makes me thing of medieval trumpeters playing a fanfare.

Agreed, Lance.

Gas is up here to $2.85. News this morning says that tne National Average is expected to be over $/gal by the weekend. Lots of folks getting out on the road, so an execllent opportunity to gouge the public for every peny they can get out of you. And we're not about to avoid it, because they know that people aren't going to stop driving.

Airlines are the same. Prices rising drastically, now that people are starting to travel.

If you want cheap petrol, Angola, Iran and Venezuela are the places to be. How badly do you want cheap petrol (~smile).

But yes, price gouging is happening. And its here to stay. I'm wondering what the post-pandemic world of 2025 will look like (when prices have and supply chains have restabilized).

Yes, let's buy all our oil from the terrorists. Think of how we support the terrorists of the world, while we kiss the ass of a few Democrats who have no clue of how to get and use the oil that's available (from Canada, for example, lol.)

That was Canadian. But it hurts in either language.

$85 Australian. $23,274 Zimbabwe (yes, you read that correctly)!

After a little digging, I found out that the Zimbabwe dollar is no longer officially in use as of April, 2009.
According to https://www1.oanda.com/currency/iso-currency-codes/ZWD,
Convertible currencies such as the South African Rand, Botswana Pula, British Pound, Euro, and the US Dollar are now used for all transactions in Zimbabwe.
and
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe routinely printed money to fund its budget deficit, causing hyperinflation. At one point, a Z$ 100 trillion banknote was printed. Three redenominations were required to reduce the high face value paper denominations.

I'm not surprised the Zimbabwe dollar is no longer in used. To be frank, I was surprised that the exchange only worked out to 20K dollars; I was expecting something in the 200K range.

A $100 trillion bank note - wow!

I don't know what's going on. And I'm certainly not complaining.

But for the last 4 weekends, the price of petrol has actually DROPPED on Friday afternoons!!

Just seen on my street, an Uber eats driver making a food delivery. This of course, is neither here nor there.

Except for the fact that guy was driving a Porsche Macan.

Damn, the food delivery business must be doing well.

Cheapest gas in Tampa today is at Costco $2.67 per gallon.

Yes my Vette only takes super but I only fill it up once every 2 months lol.... I just go to the gym or post office or lunch with friends... it still only has 50,000 miles on inmost! Most of the time it's garaged and I'm with Dave in the bang van. He hates driving my car cause his head hits the roof!

His Van is so cool, the tank is so big you can go 5 or 600 miles between fillups! It was really great when we had that hurricane and no one had gas to get away but we did!! We drove all the way to Alabama!
