Spring is here the willows are blooming (that is because there is light now). Snow and ice are melting making the tundra difficult to walk on. I did not have to wear polar fleece under my jeans today. Good thing because my room gets hot. I even walked the dogs on the tundra with out polar fleece and was comfortable. We are having above zero temperatures now.

It has finally cooled down from the 90's (which is very unusual for June) to upper 70's. It Is trying to rain today with maybe thunder storms late today. I love the thunder and lightening as long as it is not severe! lol Hope others respond to this thread it is always neat to talk about the weather in other parts of the world.

I've gone out on the car before to watch when there's a nice lightning show on. There's a road over the mountain here. Best is to drive up there where you can look over the NE part of town. Next time it does that, I should go up there and get some video.

Meanwhile, today, down in the flats, it's 105°.

ugh tell me about it. Vegas and Joshua Tree last week were unbearable. It was a joyous moment to step out of the airport in Boston yesterday and have it be in the mid-70s

Mid 70's? My GOD! How the hell do you stand the cold??? :rotffl:

Yesterday, 109° / 18% humidity.
Today 96° / 28%. Moisture moving in. One TV station Weather Dept forecasts 60% chance of rain tomorrow, and another forecasts 30%. Want to know why I just look out the window to see what the weather is?

Sunning myself like a harbour seal today...mid 80's, light breeze and just a few clouds in the sky. The way June is supposed to be. :Idhitthat:

It's so nice here right now 21C, just perfect for outdoor workouts. They say it's going to be around 30C here for Canada Day, going to go on a 15KM run that morning, that should do me in :signhammer:

Summer over in U.K. -better than average because we've had about a week!
Damp and miserably so normal service resumed!

It has cooled down here in Iowa but had severe thunderstorms last night and 8 tornadoes touched down in southern Iowa. Lots of rain and hail. No one was killed or hurt thank goodness. Iowa has a magnificent weather alert system that we can get early warnings. It is 81 degrees now with a threat of the same kind of weather for tonight. Hope it misses us!

Or move to NH, legal to shoot porn and no sales tax, just gotta put up with some cold and snow for a few months every year.

Currently 75F, beautiful sunny day, with just a hint of fall in the air.

We have the same temp. here George with a gentle breeze and we don't get hurricanes. lol Although we don't get maple syrup either. Do you or is that mostly in Maine?

Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire are probably the biggest producers but I'm sure there are a few other states that make it too. I've tapped trees, collected sap and boiled it down before too, it's an arduous process but the end result is a million times better than that crap they make with corn syrup. Actually it's funny you mention it, I sent Vicky a 1/2 pint of some locally made NH Grade A Amber syrup last month.

I gotta admit, this August is oppressive. Last night we walked the dogs at 10 pm and it was still almost 90. I have no idea what the humidity was but we started sweating profusely just from a normal paced walk. It was dead still, no breeze whatsover, just thick air. The dogs were panting, especially Loki who is 15. We did our usual mile walk and were so happy to be back inside the airconditioning. I won't even mention what our bill is, cause it never stops running. What I wouldn't give to be in NH right now! On the upside I can go jump in the pool naked so life is not that bad...
