Speaking of Vicky and Rokkerr, they're headed home now. Them and 875,000 other people. They expect to make it by Sept 23rd.

Hey Walt, I am praying that Vicky and Rokker get home safely. Also all the ladies in southern Floridian are safe. I wish them all well as wll as members that have mixed up in this mess.

Everyone I've talked to or heard about, Sugerdaddy, is doing at least OK. Maybe not great, but OK. I'm hearing that West Florida isn't as bad as expected (Vicky, Charlee,) but some could be without power for up to 10 days. So I hope they can deal with cooking out for a bit. Camp fires (may not be allowed,) Propane stoves, no laundry, etc. It'll be fun, but I'm sure will get old rather quickly. I'm a camper, but even I would get sick of all that after 10 days.

South Fla might be the worst, as far as VNA models are concerned. Angelina is in Miami. She had a very nice patio area set up where she did her cam shows, and all of that is gone. But, as I'm sure you wish, as we all do, everyone we know is at lease alive and well.

A few on Florida's East coast evacuated as well, so their worry, as well as the West Coasters, is they're not sure what they're coming home to. But the storm went up the west coast, so east coasters may have it relatively easy.

Bottom line? All are well and at least somewhat happy.

Thanks Walt for filling me in on this disaster in Florida. I Pray for every one there every night. It has been a terrible storm and though's poor soles in the Keys have been devastated and have the houses completely lost. At least all our VNA family is safe.

Yes thanks Walt for keeping us informed. I agree on the prayers for the VNA ladies sugerdaddy and to all those affected by the storm. The weather sure can be cruel sometimes but we have to look to the hope and beauty that it can bring also.

My pool area was like a war zone! Trashed! The pool cage was twisted, a few pieces of the metal were at the bottom of the pool along with a lot of roof tiles, which also smashed all over the decks... 22 pool screens were destroyed, some of them just shredded like someone raked them... My beautiful weight area that I made is trashed, all the curtains destroyed, been working my fingers to the bone for the past few days here cleaning, I'm so fed up, going to get a mani/pedi and relax some this afternoon. Had the pool cage repair crew here for a full day on thursday, then the pressure washing guys here today, they just left. I'm not complaining really, it could have been so much worse, just more shocked than anything... I'll be back later and post some pics too...

Don't blink too quick Vicky...Tropical Storm Maria is picking up steam mid Atlantic and currently headed toward the Caribbean.

This is not a good season for hurricanes...numbers this year so far are way up with no sign of slowing down.

Sooo sad, a st.petersburg dog stepped on a downed power line that was live, and was electrocuted. Heartbreaking.

South Coast of England is so much more predictable for weather - its either raining or about to rain. But we don't get the extremes you do over there!

LOL Not me Julie! No snow in Sept. here I am happy to say! The temp. is even perfect for this time of year. I do like winter and would rather have snow than ice which sometimes we get a lot of. I am not ready yet for the winter. lol

I know everyone was very concerned about rubber ducky. I am glad to say that rumors of his death were greatly exaggerated. He did however suffer a puncture wound and is a little deflated but with some tender love and care he can be back to his bouncy slutty self.

I am so glad Ducky is safe now. I would have hated to see his demise as he carries a lot of memories!
