We had our body fat measured the other day. I was really happy with mine, I weighed 130.2 lbs and have 21.4 lbs of fat in my body. That's just over 16% body fat, so pretty damn good. I told him I wanted to get down to 122 lbs and he said it's not gonna happen unless I lose muscle mass and I don't want to lose that. I still haven't got a 6 pack though damn it, how much ab work does that take :situps:

My trainer always told me that "abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym'. God I hate her, lol... she has a six pack too! I got back to seriously working out again. I was off for a whole month. First I hurt my back, and then I hurt my knee. WTF getting old really sucks! So last week i went to the gym once and just walked on the treadmill, and did the exercises with the class, but without any weights. Then on friday I did half walking, then half running (but slower than usual), I used weights but just light ones. Then today I did the 90 min OCTANE class at 8 Am and I burned 778 calories! I ran the whole time and used moderately heavy weights! Plan to go again wednesday and run on my treadmill at home in between. I'm being so careful, when you hurt your back it takes forever to heal!

Yesterday the school had a yoga instructor there, he's a friend of one of the teachers. So I thought I'd take part of in a class, I haven't done much of it before and thought that would be a relaxing exercise. Now I don't know the names of anything we're doing, but at one point he had us lay flat on our backs, with our arms stretched out over our heads. He then says to raise our legs up and I'm thinking we're gonna do leg raises, but instead he has us open our legs wide, then reach with our arms between our legs, like a crunch. I'm doing this and he knees in front of me and says grab my hands. I'm stretching as far as I can and grab his hands. He goes limp and falls forward landing on me with his face on my pussy! That was it I jumped up and said "what the fuck are you doing you fucking pervert!" He said I was to strong for him and he lost his balance. The class was full of 16-18 year olds and their saying "you tell em coach." I left and so did all the girls, as I was changing I hear my name paged to go to the office. I sit down and the principle, the yoga guy and his friend are there. I'm in shit for swearing, I said look at the size of him there's no way I could pull him over unless he wanted to go. He's like 6' 6" 250lbs and about as sexy as a piece of wet toast. He says I'm much stronger then he thought I would be, that's when I had enough and said. Listen you let yourself go and I'm sure that's the first time you've had your face between a girls legs, your lucky I just walked away and didn't tune you up! I looked at the principle and said "what if he pulled that move on a student, would you blame the student?" I then said "I don't think he should be allowed in this school again, and you need to pick friends that aren't assholes!"

I went back to the gym and talked to the kids telling them what I had said and told them if I offended anyone that I was sorry. Most of them told me they were hoping to see some Tae Kwnon moves and him beat up, I learned not to do that.

So he's not allowed back in the school and I was suspended for 3 days next week for swearing. I still have a bit of an attitude when I get pissed off. I guess I could have put this in the douchbag thread eh?

Well, us'n long term members know quite well that you could have hurt him, even at that size, so you get a BIG kudos for restraint.

I know that sometimes, something will happen to us that immediately sends us into a frenzy. Then it will turn out to have been an accident, or grave misunderstanding. You were there, I wasn't. I can see where he could accidentally fall forward, even, as you say, with his size and ability. One of those oriental defense systems is based on getting the opponent off balance, and thereby down. But, to me, a person (yourself) should be able to generally tell when some one has an accident and which are intentional. But, regardless, watch your language, especially around the kids.

I have found that sometimes I have to try to control my language in the middle of an angry tirade, and it's hard to do. But, when my ex-wife and I argued, I would get pretty vile. I would call her names and say things that she didn't remotely deserve. And I know all that hurt her. It' hard to argue without cussing if you're in that mode. But try, girl.

When you get to LA, you can :1106: me up one side and down the other to get it out of your system.

Damn Julie. Good for you for standing your ground. That was BS to suspend you for swearing under those circumstances, but we are talking about Canada. If you were in Quebec things may have turned out differently.

I put on 15 lbs. spontaneously in July and I cannot get it off. I was already trying to lose 15 lbs. to get down to 190 lbs. where my BMI would have been well under 20. My metabolism sucks but I am great for endurance sports. I can ride 100 miles in the morning and do another 100 miles in the afternoon without any effort. Great for cycling but bad for everyday living. I maintain at least a 500 calorie deficit a day, and today it was 1,400. I hit the gym at least 4 times a week and I am physically active every day. Still I fight to lose just 1 pound until I found this stuff that seems to work. Finally I have dropped a legitimate 5 lbs. while picking up a little muscle mass. I still have 25 lbs. to go but I am delighted that I am moving in the right direction. My goal is to get back into the condition that I was in that picture. I'm not far off, but I'm not there either.

Sounds very strange to me Julie, I don't know what that guy was thinking! lol..

So we finally skied today, I did 2 runs down the beginner, then 3 down the intermediate, then spent the rest of the day on the expert runs. No moguls, just pretty steep. By the end of the day my legs were like jello and i felt like my calves and quads were gonna bust through my skin and ski pants, lol.. musta burned 1000's of calories... So we went straight to the crepe place afterwards and got crepes with nutella, and caramel, covered in sugar and cinnamon, piping hot, with starbucks, oh and hot apple strudels too... guess I'm back to even, lol...

Sounds like a perfect day on the slopes Vicky, I'm going this weekend, at least I think we are.

We had a kick ass workout today, I'd love to slap the silly bitch that came up with this one. I did it in the last class with everyone that was there, no wonder I was being swore at all day :smile:

I'm gonna write this on the white board tomorrow when I get there; "You know you've had a good workout, when you get home and 10 minutes later your ass is at the door asking to come inside!"

You know what drives me crazy, when people join and I understand being all pumped up and then you figure out that it's work to get back into or to stay in shape. That's why we do an assessment so we know where to start. For most it's at level 1 or 2, so they get used of the moves and learn how to do things right. Everyone starts with big goals to shed fat and get healthy, but to many hit crunch time and don't remember what they told me and more importantly themselves. So I read this and I thought wow this sums it up.

Everyone wants to be a beast, till it's time to be the beast, come on beasts let's kill it!

We had a guy join in early January and he's always slouched over, shoulders are never straight. I could tell he worked out and did the assessment with Hayley. I asked him if he bench pressed hard and heavy weights? He said he could and we loaded up the bar, he did 374 lbs when he crapped out. So I loaded up so he could do pull downs. He said he never did much of them or rows. Trust me he sucked at both, I told him to get his posture back might take up to a year. His chest is so muscular and his back is limp as a dish rag. So after two months of 3 times a week he's gaining massive muscles in his back. The guys a fucking machine, he's going to enter some fitness competitions. Makes both Hayley & I feel good to see the change, although she's doing more then training him as I stopped at the gym late one night and all I said was wipe the bench down when your done. Good to see I'm not the only one having late night workouts! :hump:

Yeah Im sure you are an amazing trainer Julie! I had a great female trainer once, I loved her we were friends and worked out together too... she had a jack russel and we used to run them together then she found out I was in porn and it destroyed everything. Wish you were my trainer!
