RULES FOR BEING AMAZING!
Risk more then required, Learn more then normal.
Be Strong. Show Courage. Breathe, Excel, Love, Lead.
Speak your truth, live your values, laugh, cry, Innovate.
Simplify, Adore, Mastery, Release Mediocrity, Aim for genius.
Stay humble, Be kinder then expected. Deliver more then needed.
Exude passion. Shatter your limits. Transcend your fears.
Inspire others by your bigness. Dream big.

sorry if it's dumb to post this but this is my transformation photo..I gained a lot of weight in my last 2 years of high school through comfort eating.. I've been super down on myself lately but sometimes its good to look back and see how far you've come! I literally never ever exercised back then and I'd take the car to go a mile down the road.. exercise is so good not just for the body but the mind too :) Image

Kate, I'd say you looked pretty damn good back then, too. But I fully understand what you say about the exercise getting down and feeling good about yourself. And you're certainly right. It looks good. Come on, Kitty, you've got a challenge and a goal.

Cool poster, Julie. I like that.

You look awesome Kate! Just awesome! Keep up whatever you are doing because it's paying off!

BK you should get a full physical? I don't think it's normal for someone so young to want to sleep all the time? I know you work hard, but I'm thinking maybe your vitamin B12 is low? A lot of people don't make enough of it in their bodies or if they have enough, the body can't use it properly for some reason... so they get a monthly shot of it. It works wonders.. you never know...

Or you could have a low thyroid. The top symptoms of low thyroid are fatique and sometime insomnia at same time, not motivated, moody, dry skin, intolerance to hot or cold... it runs in my family bigtime so i know all about it... it wouldn't hurt to have a full check up anyway, so then you can hit the gym with confidence knowing everything is good... low thyroid is much more common in women than men...

I dunno about the b12 thing. I don't really eat healthy. I'm a picky eater. I mainly sleep all day because there's really nothing to do and none of my friends want to hang out. I don't like being alone or doing things alone.
And my thyroid was checked not too long ago and it was perfect but who knows...

If there's nothing to do and your friends don't want to hang out, then you have the wrong friends! Time to make new friends! Join a club or better yet volunteer somewhere like a dog shelter. You will meet like minded people and make new friends and maybe even a boyfriend.

Well...I do only have two of them...and there is honestly nothing to do in my ass crack of a town. xD
I'm drinking a Monster right now. That has B12 in it. :D I know...it has 27 grams of sugar so it's not helping much. Lol.

Lay off the Monster. It's doing you more harm than good (seriously.)

Are you saving your money so that you can move to the big city, get your own place, and start doing something? You need to get moving, Kitty, plain and simple. Your parents may not like you moving out, but you are a big girl now no pun intended. Time to move to town and get yourself a life. You will be surprised at how things will suddenly open up for you and you will start moving up.

OMG I just had the best workout of the week! Julie, we had to run .35 of a mile on the treadmill and how ever long it took that was how many meters we had to do on the rower. Since I always run a 10 min mile, it was always 3min 50 seconds of running, then 350 meters rowing, back and forth like that for 20 min, then we did alternating sprints where you run fast (me 8.5 min mile) for a min then walk a min then sprint a min, walk 30 seconds, run a min, walk 45 seconds like that... for the next 20 min, then the last 20 min we did burpee/pushups with weights, skater lunges, and lots and lots of scissors and hip raises for abs... killer workout!

Well, I didn't do all that, but you reminded me of a survival tip I learned in the Boy Scouts - other than what Girl Scouts were for, lol.

When you're out in the wilderness and you have to go for help, do not start running and keep going. You will tire out quickly, then have to stop for a long time to recover. You can start running or walking, but you walk 50 paces, then you run 50. Then walk 50, then run 50. Sooner or later you will have to stop for a while to rest, but you will go much further before you have to. I've done it before, and, yes, I would go for quite a ways before stopping.

Then, of course, there's my old stand-by. Always go out in the woods wth a slow runner. Then, if you encounter a bear, you don't have to outrun the bear, you only have to outrun your friend. :lmao:

Don't ever run from a bear, Walt. You're supposed to throw your arms up and act all scary like Rawrawrawr! Bring someone young, they'd be more likely to go for the fresh meat. Bahaha!
We've had a bear here at our house like 5 times over the past month. The closest call I had with it was that it was coming up to our house when I got home from work and I ran inside like my ass was on fire! Lol! xD

I've mentioned that before somewhere. Grab the corners of you jacket and pull those up high. The intent is to make yourself look as large and aggressive as possible.
