So Julie, what was it? Just muscle pain or something else?
:yeahbaby: Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.

Helping old people sit up and sometimes picking then up from the floor kills my back...but then again, it's about body mechanics. I'm also not healthy, and I don't exercise, so...that's my fault. Dx

That's so sad though, Zany. I hope they find out what's wrong. :(

Thanks Vicky! So far every test they have done turns out not to be it. He was even sent to a doctor (specialist) in Miami and he could not figure it out! I just take one day as it comes! :D

Thanks Kitty! Be very careful and do the right body mechanics when lifting people. You need to get some exercise going even it's just walking!!

Wow Zany, I don't know what to say, other then I hope they find what's wrong and are able to cure him.

Just a pulled muscle Vicky, I did ice it even after it felt better and massaged it lots.

To celebrate my back feeling better we did a ladder workout.
One minute wall sit, 25 burpies, 10 push ups, 35jumping jacks, 15 squats, 20 mountain climbers, 30 reverse lunges and a one minute plank. Now with a ladder workout you do #1, but before you go to #2, you do #1 again and so on till you've done them all. Fun eh!

Dang! I finally found a workout routine that works for me. It's tough, killing me, but I'm almost to week three all ready. I know Vicky and Julie will be so proud of me. Can't wait to finish first month and start on month 2.

Thanks Julie! The doctors r really baffled as to what caused him to 1st lose the ability to move his lower part of his body. He now has the ability to move his legs but he still can't walk. It really is a day by day thing. :D

Glad that it was just a pulled muscle for you! Wow! When you celebrate you celebrate! :yeahbaby:

I haven't been to the gym for at least 2 or 3 weeks, we got back from Dallas and i really was sick for a week, and then i was just tired and really working hard, we are working on 3 new sites, redoing sunny's old site, upgrading the cms and rebuilding the cam system all at the same time so you can imagine the stress around here sometimes. So I went to a class this morning and was kind of afraid, I thought Oh boy this is gonna hurt, lol... the first 5 min i was cursing under my breath, felt all clutzy and stiff on the treadmill, but after 10 min I was super into it, and saying to myself, what the hell, why haven't i been here for so long? I feel great! I was running a 12 min mile pace on incline 10 and then 15! I couldn't even believe I could even do it. My stride felt so good, my pony tail swaying from side to side, head up, shoulders up, feeling horny, lol.... then they played Metallica and I was in my glory.... killer workout! Will try to do a nice long run tomorrow early before it gets hot, (as long as it's not pouring).

Great job Vicky! :yeahbaby: I remember u being sick after Dallas and there were a few people that I did observe that I was like why r here infecting people with your germs. :help: They were a few that I caught coughing and sneezing. I think the next get together I am bringing some hand sanitizer with me. i will pack it in my suitcase and it will be big enough for u ladies to use.

In the next few months, hopefully I'll be able to hit the gym again. Ended up getting injured at work and have been nursing my wounds for months now. As for now, I kind of have to make due with hiking. Since walking is fine, I just have trouble lifting things.

Depends on how fast and for how long you keep the 'exercise' up, so to speak, and no snacking on (food) while exercising. Add some variety to the exercise, besides up and down, consider in and out, and rotating as you apply the in and out motion.... :nanah: it may not burn off any calories, but pretty soon your not going to care if your doing it right.
As a side note, I suggest the following also during the time your 'exercising', lock the door to your room, a parent walking in during your exercise period, while providing a huge increase in your motions, such as trying to hide your exercise equipment, and trying to look normal......lol, also keep a bit of extra lubricant on hand, but not vasaline, use something else possibly skin lotion, be sure it's rated for internal use however. A caution here, and I'm not kidding on this, if your eating, or have just eaten a pepperomi pizza, BE SURE TO WASH YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP, AND PLENTY OF WATER, BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE EXERCISE, I can tell you from some of the young ladies, and young men I've seen over the years, the oil from the meat BURNS sensitive tissue, though the dancing around and screaming will burn more calories, it's not worth the PAIN and possible damage to the tissue, not to mention the embarassment at the ER of trying to explain how you got sausage burns on that sensitive tissue...

Here's to you and a steady daily exercise period. May the calories melt away, and may you reach a point where you don't care anymore on how many calories the exercise session burns off you'll be so relaxed you'll just know the exercise session worked out to your satisfaction.

DrDave47
An orgasm is when a woman is sexually happy and she shows it. Sometimes many times. A climax is when her toes curl up so hard they cramp, her pussy grips you like a set of Craftsman lock grips, and she stuffs a pillow in her mouth to keep the people at the mall five miles away from hearing her joy!

That's the best exercise precaution I have ever read, but so true!! :rotffl: Thank u DrDave!!!

I for one agree that it depends on how long that exercise continues and doing it till it hurts is not a good thing!!

Vicky that's awesome, always feels so good to get back into it! I had to laugh cause I only have one rule in our gym that I'm adamant about and that's no Metillica. Don't ask what I don't like about them but there sound just makes my skin crawl. When someone plays it and I'm there I have what I call "The 26 ways of pain!" How it works is you spell your name and I have an exercise for every letter. Sometimes I pull it out for fun, but only on the day that I call Throw-up Thursday or Finisher Friday. I can't think of the whole thing right now, but some are
A-50 Jumping Jacks E-4 bear crawls lengths of the turf (320'), I-25 Jump Squats c/w a 50lb sand bag, O-30 burpies, U-30 Split Squats. Now if someone can't do them we just lower the progression of that exercise. I just remember the vowels cause there so cruel, and yes I've done it lots of times, but not for playing Metallica.
