I'm going to do a DELOAD next week (not that kind of load LOL) Basically instead of working out with my normal weights I will do around 60-70% for maybe 10-12 or maybe higher reps just to let my muscles/joints relax for the week. I haven't had a break for a long time. I feel an injury or something is coming on (already my right shoulder is kinda messed up so should be good for it)

Yesterday Loki and I went for a run, I was determined to do 5 miles. The weather is cooler (just 70 now, lol) and the humidity has subsided, so it was nice to run in daytime as opposed to all the night running I've been doing. There are some new parks and trails I've wanted to explore.

Well the day before, while we were out, that #*$%head dog of mine tipped over the garbage. She stood up on her hindlegs, and pulled the whole can down. It was filled with turkey bones, and all the fat and skin from carving it. SHE ATE IT ALL. I don't think Stinkie had a bit of it, the little angel princess that is Miss Stinkie. How can I have 2 dogs so different?

So at .25 of a mile she had to stop and I had to scoop. I gotta tell you, I love running with a plastic bag of warm fuming stewing doggie doo in my hands until I pass a garbage can. Then again at .40 and again at .50 and again at ..... well you get the picture. We had to stop no less than 25 times during the run, plus she was running really slow... I know she wasn't feeling great, but I figured maybe she'd run it out of her system so to speak.... If it wasn't so exasperating it would be funny.... I gave up at 3.5 miles..

So looking forward to running in GA, it's nice and cold, I do so much better in the cold. :bewaredog:
