Okay I just checked, it doesn't seem to work that way at all! In the women's 55 to 59 for yesterday's row, I am first. If I look at all gender 55 to 59 I am 77th! It's a huge group too! There are a lot more men in that age group rowing than women!

Rowing is probably different from running. Upper body strength plays a larger role, and men have a genetic advantage there.

Jeanie - I don't even want to think about her. I was just looking at a web site for 5k world record times by age group. The world record for 90 year old males is 29 mins, for women it is 33:15.

The run I was quoting numbers from was for women's mental health, so there may have been a disproportionate number of women participants...

Rowing is the new thang for me. I honestly didn't give it much thought until I tried it. Its a really good workout, easy on the joints, and really breaks you into a good lather. I think I've waisted a lot of time on a treadmill. Rowing is a much more complete workout.

Only problem is that my masturbation hand is developing calluses. :)

You could always wear gloves when rowing, I tried it but I didn't like it I definitely have calluses now, they go down after a while though..... I guess you'll just have to use more Lube when masturbating!

Just finished my first ever 10K race this weekend... respectably in the top 50% of my age group...

So modest! He ran the 10k and then walked the 5k with me (since I can't run right now) he had 30,000 steps on his watch that day including walking the dogs lol...

Do all you can, Rokkerr. I didn't run and now I can't. Remember the 5K we went to in Atlanta? Vicky and her friend Jan walked with me instead of running with Sara. I knew my knees were giving me grief then, but never checked it out. Now about half the cartilage in my knees is gone, and I have to be pretty careful. No sudden turns, lol.

Now, if Vicky stood still, I couldn't catch her,

Santa Shuffle run today in Ottawa.

Its one of the most fun runs of the year - christmas market at the start/end point, not a huge number of runners and the proceeds all go to the Salvation Army. And this time of year the temperature is not too bad, about -1C, 30F.
