RIP!
Last weekend my Auntie Joyce passed away, she had cancer (I never knew), she was a very strong willed farmer. If something had to be done it was "lets get out there and do, cause no one else is going to!" I really didn't know her as well as I would have liked to, but I do remember lots of times she would tell me as I was growing up "there's nothing you can't do CJ!" Going to really miss her amazing attitude and hugs

Never really cared for Leon one way or the other. I guess he was a good musician, but a comment he made during the Mad Dogs tour put me off and I never got over it. Fare thee well, Leon.

Former WWE Hall of Fame announcer, Jim Ross' wife Jan passed away. She was in accident involving her scooter and another vehicle (she wasn't wearing a helmet):

What makes you smile?
I know you’re listening.
Let me in!

What happened to you was such a tragedy.
Limbo is no place for a soul like yours.
I believe I found the answer.

Very sorry to hear of Bill Welch's loss. He was a good man, and always stopped by the VNA booths wherever we were. I remember maybe a year, 18 months ago, when I first saw him in his motorized chair. I didn't say anything of course, but he certainly appeared larger, and it bothered me a bit. We always chatted and exchanged emails a few times. I know the next time I get to a show I will be looking for him. But now I won't see him. Fare thee well, Bill. You will be missed. RIP.
Also I know nothing about WWE but what a shame that someone has to die for such a stupid reason as, "I don't need no stinkin' helmet." Well, I'm sorry, dear, but you do. Yes, we all are free, and bikers everywhere must abide by helmet laws. But, many states rescinded those laws because bikers felt that the choice should be theirs. I remember thinking that if you can require people to wear seat belts, you can requite bikers to wear helmets. Well, the bikers won, and so today, they continue to die from head injuries. What a tragic, stupid loss.

Another sad day at the passing of Adam West yesterday. The world was better because he was in it.

I remember well the original Batman series. So campy, so fun. All that silliness, he was good. The king is dead. Long live the King. Fare thee well, Batman. And you, too, Adam. Thanks for the memories.

I was sad to hear about the passing of David Cassidy today. My childhood is catching up with me. May he rest in peace.
I was somewhat less sad to hear about Charles Manson. He'll be resting, but I hope it isn't quite as peaceful.

Bloody hell!
I can remember being a jealous teenager because all the girls either loved him or Donny!

Well, apparently Jim Nabors has gone to his (big) reward. I, of course will always remember Gomer Pyle, such a bumbling, good-hearted fellow. Trying so hard and screwing up so badly, lol. The big surprise was when he opened his mouth and sang. I didn't care for that type of music. but the sound of his voice was pretty fantastic. In a totally different world from "Goollleeee," or, "Shazam!" Or "Surprise, Surprise, Surprise,." Gomer - and Jim - you will be missed.

In addition to Gomer Pyle, I always remember Jim Nabors singing Back Home Again in Indiana before the Indy 500 every year. Like you, Walt, not my thing, but oh my, what a voice.WalterB wrote: ↑November 30th, 2017, 2:28 pm Well, apparently Jim Nabors has gone to his (big) reward. Yes, he will be missed. Heard him several times at least when I was at the race over the years. They had the guy who sings the anthem before Chicago Blackhawks games perform 'Back Home' and he did a good job, but it's not quite the same. Jim's voice has now gone the way of former track announcer Tom Carnegie, who worked the race for decades.
