We lost Pee-Wee Herman. I was going to post this yesterday, but I had my doubts. I knew about his arrest at a porn theater, but I hadn't heard about his later run-in with the law involving his "artwork" collection. He made a public statement about not being a pedo, so I'll take him at his word.
I always liked his "big enough piece of cake" in reaction to this 1950's-style PSA:
And the ending to that special seems appropriate:

Pee Wee was cool, but I never really 'followed' him. I primarily knew who he was. Mainly I liked Pee Wee doing Tequila.

I liked that scene, as well as the one with Large Marge. I thought the Biker Mama was cute, so I looked up who the actress is. It turns out that's Cassandra Peterson, AKA Elvira!
I heard about Tony Bennett, and sorta heard about Sinead O'Connor. I didn't much look into Sinead O'Connor, but I looked into Tony Bennett to see if he was the guy who did "It's Not Unusual". Turns out that's Tom Jones, who;s still alive.

Speaking of Tom Jones, check out this story:

Well we lost a couple of more people in the last week that I liked.
First Arleen Sorkin died August 24th. An Actress, screenwriter, and comedian she was known for the soap opera Days of our Lives, but is probably best remembered today as being the inspiration, model, and original voice actress for Harley Quinn. The character was supposed to just appear in one episode of Batman the animated series but she made her so popular that she is now one of DC comics biggest characters. She died of complications of a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Then on September 1st Jimmy Buffett died after a 4 year battle against merkel cell skin cancer. Was listening to his album Songs you know by heart driving home from work the last couple of nights. He just wrote some fun songs. Everyone knows Cheesburger in Paradise and Margaritaville, but one of my favorites of his is one you dont hear much on the radio.
He went to Paris. Just a great emotionally touching story of one mans journey thru life.

I never cared for Suzanne as an actress. But she was popular with most, I think, and she was good. I didn't know she was that sick. She will be missed.

I remember Three's Company, but I also sorta remember these as well:
I can remember her walking into the squad room with a few other characters already there, but not much else. It lasted two full seasons, though, so I probably just didn't watch it on a regular basis.
I remember this because of a reference in this cartoon short:
The short was an extra in front of BeBe's Kids, which I rented on a lark. I don't remember anything about BeBe's Kids, and the Itsy Bitsy Spider went on to have a cartoon show which I didn't like very much.

I always preferred the Joyce DeWitt character in 3's company. I knew Suzanne had faced some serious medical issues, but was not aware they were ongoing. I don't know too much about her, and I should not judge her on the basis of a character she played in a sitcom.
RIP
