ok so its not a technical problem, but i figure its computereez

any good slide show maker programs out there?

i've tried "Flash Slideshow Maker pro v4.88"

its good, but there's some problem when saving the flash file (.swf)
its either cheesy transition effects but 1 swf easy to upload file.
Or a bunch of xml files and thumbnails, wich doesn't work for youtube.

i only want 1 swf file to send to youtube with music and fade to black between pix.

Course i could go the hard route and use adobe flash creator,
but then its surelly way over complicated and pricey just to make a slideshow.

Vicky, what did u use to make your slideshow of the car race the other day ?

i was thinking more for sending like to youtube. i don't think it'll upload there.

i found one that makes swf file, flash player files, but the transitions are something a kin to like 1970's bad gameshows FX or lack there off. lol

I use Roxio, which I think will do what you mention, but I've never tried to do it yet (slide shows.) It is pretty good for the uses I give it,tho.

Roxio, i'll look into that. tnx

also Nero does some too.

i don't really have control over the transitions between the photos with "Flash Slideshow Maker Professional", its either have them "as is" but in only 1 big swf file that contains all photos and music, easy to upload. Or have full control over them but also seperate little files for photos and music and thumbnails (cuz it uses xml files to do trans.). But you'd need a website to host them.

its "either" "or". its a pain i tell ya. but i can't upload the latter to youtube, it doesnt load a whole directory structure. Just 1 file, so big swf it is then. But then the audio gets cut out. so the slideshow just passes by in 5seconds for teh whole thing when you view it on youtube lol.

Anyway long story short, i need a program that will give me some more control over transitions (atleast fade to black) and make just 1 swf file with all the photos and music.

Windows Movie Maker isn't good b/c it doesnt easily add transitions between each pic, and since i have over 100 pix, its a bit much lets just say, lol

Powerpoint, i don't think youtube likes those. too bad cuz its probly the most used for that kind of stuff.

I know that Roxio does transitions and lets you add music and all that, but I'm not sure about the .swf extension.

i just got a response from the makers of Flash Slideshow Maker Professional

they have another program that makes slideshows on dvds called "DVD photo slideshow Pro"

and it just so happens to have a Youtube format built right in, so i'll give it a try too.

http://www.slide.com

A much better alternative to these programs imho free and easy to use.

Allows you to send up to 1000 photos per slideshow
you can add effects and music and they have templates,
Hot linking with youtube videos/music , etc (the videos even play in the slideshow!)

Thanks for that website Rokkerr/Rebecca Jessop

i'm making a slideshow as we speak.
