Thank you, Shanda. This is one of lifes episodes that people just need to work thru, and hopefully learn from.

Adultcon is going just fine. It is smaller than Erotica LA of 6 -8 weeks ago. Hanging out with Vicky and Rokkerr, Sara, and Deauxma and Larry is just such great fun. I pretty much hang out around the booth, helping with whatever odd jobs need doing. I also handle Vickys and Saras money. They all are selling pictures and DVDs, and Mike from LOUD brought a large sample of VNA shirts for Vicky to sell. (We all have to get shirts, folks. they even have Tank Tops. And, no, you dont want to see me in one. :lmao: :lmao: ) So Vicky and Sara were trying to collect their money and handle their purses while posing, dancing, etc., so TheOldGuy graciously stepped in and volunteered to handle that. Due to the nature and set-up of the place, it's pretty much impossible to keep an eye on everything, and you may have read that Sara lost a new, expensive camera. So, everytime Sara or Vicky would sell something, they would turn and give the money to me. All of the customers must have thought I was their pimp or something. :lmao: :lmao:

I have met Sara before, so it is great to see her again. Deauxma is, as they say, marvelously devine. So pretty and charming, a really nice lady. And hubby Larry is a ball of fire, happy and ready to party. They will be at the show today, but will leave a bit early and get on to Phoenix to visit relatives. He's also as big as Dave, (6'6" or so?) so I didn't bother trying to get in an extra "hug" or anything from Deauxma. I like what few teeth I got left. But, they love Mexican food, too, so they get my heart.

Today is the last day, I think it runs from Noon to 6 PM. I'm sure Dave will set the webcam up again, so, hope to see you there.

Walt, I just ready about your loss, and I'm really sorry. I feel worse because I saw you just yesterday and (because I didn't know about your tragedy) I didn't give you my condolences. On the other hand, maybe it was better that I didn't know or say anything, since I wouldn't like to bring you down when you were having fun at the convention. I know that you'll move on and that another dog will have the honor of you taking care of him/her.
As always, it was great to see you, it really was, and remember that you can always call us whenever you're in Las Vegas area. Now I'm off to post a couple of photos from yesterday. Also, I'll write about my "wonderful trip back to Las Vegas" (not!), so be sure to check it out. Take care!

Pops.

Hey, peeps and pervs, dudes and dudettes, Just a quick note to say made it home OK. 850 miles, 13 hours, not too bad, really.

Pops, thanks for the nice thoughts. You may have read that I only had Frisco for a couple months, so there wasn't a deep emotional bond yet, but certainly some feelings there. And adding to that, that it was my own stupidity and forgetfulness that allowed it to happen, didn't make it easier to handle. But I am OK now, moving on. It was great to see you and Anita as well. Sounds like we may be heading to Vegas in November. We'll keep you advised. Also heard a small amount about fires around Victorville? News said they were setting up evacuation centers. You didn't get caught up in smoke or anything, did you??

Twas also great to meet AussieSteve and Dave45. Steve is still out there, for another week or so, while Dave drove home Sunday to prep for work Monday. He's from Wyoming way and I heard they were having snow and cold up there. Good luck, Dave.

Trio, you and HT can call me anything you want, PPP and anything you like (PPP? Cute, I like it. Maybe I'll have a shirt made haha.). But I was controlling the purse strings haha. When Sara and Vicky let you hold their money while sitting on a stool all day watching them dance, you know you have arrived. :lmao: And when those guys gave them money for a picture or whatever and they turned and handed it to me??? I was a GOD!!! :signhammer:

Kinda tired now, will post more in the AM. I thought the show was a great success, while Rokkerr, I think, was/is a bit more critical. Of course, it was a learning experience for the VNA, but that's a positive thing. Vicky, Sara and Deauxma sold a lot of items, then Rokkerr said, "Yeah, it just about pays the expenses of coming out here and setting up." :lmao: (But, Rokkerr, you got to hang out with me! How cool is that?? :lmao:  :walt: )

I'll post more tomorrow.

i only called you god Walt !

You are so generous and funny. and i am happy to know you made it safe.

Did you know, in my family when we all go to visit relatives (most are abt 1h away) they all, always say, call us when you get home.

That means they love and worry about us.

Well , I'm relieved you "called" on the board here.

Trio loves all, but funny some words must mean different thing on planet Trio :lmao:

I'll get a couple pics up later. I know Rokkerr and Vicky will get a lot of editing and posting done, too. Now we start planning for Las Vegas in November. You that couldn't make LA, start planning for Vegas. You, too, HT.

This one is only a 2-day event and is more expensive ($50 one day, $70 for two,) but I'm guessing will be a larger event, primarily due to the nature of Las Vegas. Nov 4th & 5th, so it's coming fast.

http://www.adultcon.com/main_vegas.htm On the front page is a news report, from LA ABC-7 from Fri nite. At 1:20 you'll see Sara, at 1:45 is a quick booth shot (you'll see the VNA banner in the background and the Camo drapes) and at 2:10 is our good friend, Shelly Lubin. Wow! One look at her and you can see why she's so angry. Sorry, TheOldGuy lies on the cutting room floor haha.

If you can make it, make your reservations now. Rooms are typically fairly cheap in the casinos. Dave45 and I o'niterd in LV and got a room at the California Casino for $50 ($25 ea,) plus the food was reasonable.

Look around the various casino web sites and I"m sure you will find some great deals

See you there.

Adultcon Report: :fighting:

When Dave and I got to LA, he hadn't made a reservation yet, so we shared my room. On Sat we decided to take both vehicles, as I had a couple stops to make and he went straight on down. Each day we were picking up AussieSteve at his hotel and taking him down (I think he was less than a mile from the Convention Center.) Well, I don't remember the conversation, but I did my thing and got to the Center and went to Vickys booth. We were setting up and getting ready when Dave walked up. I said hi, but didn't see Steve.

"Where's Steve?"
"I don't know. Did you pick him up?"
"No. I thought you were picking him up."
"Well, I thought you were picking him up."
"No, I thought you were."
"So you didn't pick him up?"
"No. Didn't you?"
"No. So he's not here?"
"Aw, shit. I thought you were getting him. That means he's still on the sidewalk in front of his hotel. Well, I'll go get him then." (This was turning into an Abbott and Costello routine.)

About then Steve walks up. "Oh, here he is. Hi, Steve." I felt like an idiot. "Welcome to American hospitality, Steve." :lmao: :lmao: He was cool about it. Being young and in great shape, he had just walked down.

Wait, I'm not done. The show is over, we are cleaning up and discussing where to go for dinner. Vicky said, "We're going to Flemings Steakhouse. It's just a couple blocks down the street, walking distance."
"Which way?" Rokkerr said, "It's right down the street," pointing off in some indiscriminate direction.
"Down which street?"
"The street out front, down that way," pointing indiscriminately again.
Well, I was totally lost, but we all headed for the door. Vicky wanted to change, so Vicky, Sara, Steve and Rokkerr headed for their parking lot. Dave and I, being healthy young studs, figured we could walk a couple blocks. So, we headed off.
The first block was the Staples Center, where a game was letting out, resulting in several thousand people walking every which way. So, we hoofed on. Do you know how big Staples center is? That "1st block" was about 1/4 freakin' mile! So Dave and I hoofed gamefully on. We had gone a couple blocks past Staples when he said, "What was the name?" "I don't remember, but it had Steakhouse in it. Look for that." Couple more blocks and we saw a place named Flemings. "No that doesn't sound familiar." So, we kept walking.

After what seemed like another 1/2 mile, we decided, "Well, hell, I don't see anything. Maybe we should head back to try to find them. Lets cross the street, cause they're parked on that side, so they'll come down there. Meanwhile we can watch the crowds on the other side, just in case."

So we start hiking back. "There's that Flemings place again. But it doesn't have 'Steakhouse' in the name. That can't be it. Let's keep looking."

So, after what must have been another mile, we got back to the Convention Center. The parking lot was nearly empty. We walked all the way to the opposite end and, no Vicky. "Well, hell. Now what? I know, I'll call her."

"Hi, Vicky, Walt. Where are you?" "We're at the restaurant. Where are you?"
"We're back at the parking lot looking for you."
"I thought you were going to the restaurant."
"Well, we were, but we must have walked a mile, and couldn't find it."
"Well, it's right down the street, past Staples."
"What's the name again?"
"Flemings"
(Under my breath,) "Aw, shit!"
"OK, I remember seeing it. We'll be there soon."
NOW I have to tell Dave. "You're gonna kill me. Remember Flemings? That's it."
"You're right. I'm gonna kill you."
"Well can you wait til after dinner? I'm getting kinda hungry."
"Yeah, I guess." So, off we went to Flemings.
I felt better when they told me Rokkerr had lost the keys to their apartment, so he had gone off to try to figure out how to get in. At least I wasn't the only goof ball. :lmao: :lmao:

Wait! Still not done.

So we get done eating and say our good byes. Why at the restaurant? Because Vicky had DRIVEN down there (remember walking distance? Dave and I walked.  ) Well, OK. Dave and I took off for the Convention Center parking garage.

In LA, it gets cold after dark. So, by now it felt about 40. I was in shorts and we both were in short sleeves. And we've got a half mile to hike. We get to the garage and, wonder of wonders, It's FREAKIN' CLOSED!!!
Aw, MAN!!! NOW what? Well, we start hiking around the place. We had seen a security door that was open, so we headed there. On the way, we found an open entrance/exit. "Well, I'll be. Let's go in here." We went in, and, after a bit, actually found where we were parked. "Well, I'll be damned! We made it!"

Wait. I'm still not done. You know when you say, "What the hell else can go wrong?" I walked around my car and, guess what? A FREAKIN' FLAT TIRE! Man, I was ready to start shooting by now. And I think Dave was, too. At ME! Well, I knew I had a small leak, so I was carrying a small compressor. I got the tire pumped up, we got into our vehicles and headed home. I swear I heard Dave yell, "Hey, Walt. THe next time you offer to lead me around LA? Well, DON'T!!!"

So, how was your weekend??

Hey Walt,

Nothing wrong with walking! Gee it was only about 2-3 miles from my hotel to the Convention Center; not much really when the sun is shining like it did in LA all the time I was there.

Vicky said she didn't care for it, too expensive. I don't remember the prices but I had the Sweet Chili Calamari (appetizer) and thought it was absolutely delicious. I may try to get to the one in Vegas.
