Sorry to have to do this but there will be no cam2cam chat today.... sorry new members.

Last night Vicky could not get her contact lense out. After 4 hours of proding, squeezing, poking and trying everything, she went to the emergency ward to have them take it out. They could not find it. Evidently it had popped out and she likely scratched her cornea.

They gave her a pain pill and her eye look like she did a round with Mike Tyson.... more on this when I know more. Sorry, as always Vicky will make it up to you. As some of you know, Vicky is basically blind in one eye, so having damage to the one good one is a scary thing.

OMG! I am so sorry for Vicky! I wondered if you had given her a cumshot in the eye again and am thankful you didn't, but this is far worse. I didn't know she was basically blind in one eye. Was it an injury or something like that? My hopes and prayers are with you guys.

The swelling and redness is going down so that is a good sign.... I am sure she will post on the board later. I told her to chill, relax and not stress. I think she was in panic mode when it would not come out.

So sorry to hear that V, rest up for tonight, don't strain your eyes just trying to get on the board,
let nurse Rokkerr handle the dick-tation, you should get an eye patch, or use a compress. hot or cold, not sure wich. but your eye should be in the dark for a few hours

Listen to the Drs and put your eye drops in, take good care of that eye sweetie!

Hugs and kisses,
feel better xoxoxo

Good news folks - kind of..... the lense really did come out of her eye, there was scratching, resulting in pain and discomfort, but now Vicky can see BETTER THAN SHE DID BEFORE AT DISTANCE...... it seems to have HELPED her vision. The doctor said Vicky has dry eye syndrome and that no doctor in their right mind should have prescribed contact lenses......... a couple of weeks of mending the eye completely and Vicky will know if her eye is going to stay that way. The swelling and redness is going down.

Stay tuned........... I see a fight with a company called VISIONWORKS. :fighting:

Mixed bag of news indeed

good that she now knows about dry eyes synd, hope the lawsuit goes well !

i've been having that problem for about 7 or 8 years now, i used to use a special jelly before going to bed, but it was a pain to clean up in the morn. So just putting eyes drops in a couple times a day, especially before going to bed it helps alot to sleep better.

But scratches, hmmm , well i hope it heals up nicelly, it shouldnt affect her vision

But also the surprising part is that she can see further now than before the lenses?
if the lenses are dry and don't bend well to the contour of the eye,
they must have been a pain and also stopped the light from being
refracted at the focal point in the eye.

I believe Lasik eye surgery does something like that, rearranging the cornea.
they cut off a micro thin part of the cornea and alter is shape a bit.
thus allowing light to better focus on the focal point inside the eyes back wall.

kinda like readjusting your glasses on your nose for proper reading.

Look at me being all medically, lol

I'm not a doctor, but i play one in the bedroom.

Good to hear that it wasn't way more serious. Hope this vision improvement sticks around for you Vicky. Glad that you're on the mend.

As mentioned earlier, the vision thing might be because the eyeball is a bit deformed. Would be nice if it stayed, tho.

This may not be the time to mention it, but does this mean you might not make LA?

Does Vicky have to wear an eyepatch?? AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH, me hearties!!!

You know what they say: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

What I want to know is how those earlier docs misdiagnosed Vicky so badly.

I have a bad left eye (20/200 vision), but my dominant right eye is 20/20, so it all balances out. I probably couldn't wear contacts, because I would have to wear nothing but glass on my right eye, and probably thick-as-granny-glasses lens on the other one....LOL

Anyway, good to see that Vicky's sight is improving. Maybe all those facial eye shots might actually be doing some good, Rokk-mann...heheh :signhammer: :signhammer:
