i've always wanted to learn guitar, maybe its time i did.

Learning is giving yourself freedom. When you love a song and itch to play it but you don't know how cords work, then learn, you'll be able to play it then. Freedom.

This clip is in canadian french, quebecois as its called. I've never seen him before or heard of the song, but i guess it was something that guided me to musimax to listen, i was immediately amazed at how well he plays.

In the song, he's basically wondering how we go on after hardships, lost loves & friends, deaths. Its not a depressing song, its a song of wonderment about resilience, even i'd say almost amazement at how we go on. For those who don't understand french i'm sure you can appreciate the music.

i wish i could play like this, wishing never got me anywhere. i want to play like him. i like this style.

HT. Yes, use the time to learn that guitar. 48 years after I first picked up a guitar, I am finally trying to learn a certain love song to sing to Sweetie when we finally get together. Long story about Sweetie, (she's my high school sweetheart and we're back in touch.) but I'm not sure I can do it. My fingers don't want to spread so I can do chords. I'm trying to train them, but, I'm not sure I'll get there. So, NOW is the time to do that.

The Job. Another long story (which I've related here before,) but in 1984 I got a DUI, and my marriage was all ready going bad. Because I wasn't handling things correctly, I had to back out of a senior job movement that I got because of my qualifications and the Secret security clearance I had. So, I got reassigned to a lesser job (still a reasonable job, tho.)

But, directly because of that DUI and how I handled it, I got the greatest job of my careeer in Denver maybe a year later. If I had gone on the original job assignment, I would have never received the call for this one. (I helped a great team of people build a spacecraft, launch it from the Shuttle Atlantis, fly it to Venus and operate it in orbit around Venus for 5 years.) Lasted 9 years and worked with the best group of people ever. Directly related to that DUI. Point is, you just never know what is around the corner. A modification of an old saying, Today is what happens while you are preparing for tomorrow. Keep the faith, buddy.

Speaking of wich, keep trying, you'll get it too. take it slow, one part at a time, you could also warm them fingers up before playing, i mean in actual warm water though there's more fun ways HA!

Its just like the singers do some vocalizing before a show, loosen them up, play videogames for an hour a day, heard its good for motorskils.
