Oh you guys are still here, then you are seeing this rain! It was storming so bad earlier that the walls were shaking and I thought the power may fail during my cam2cam, lol! Be careful, it's nasty down here closer to the city!

Well we left around 2:30 finally and got a few miles down the road, and then remembered we didn't turn the pump off in our little pond/waterfall in front of the house. We debated leaving it on, but with all the leaves falling already, chances are it would get all jammed up and burn out the pump, so we went back and left again... sooo typical. The rain was kind of scary, the thunder was so lound poor little stinkie wouldn't even take a piece of chicken and that's her favorite! She was shaking like a leaf.

We finally drove out of it in Tennessee.... We waved at you LJS, when we drove by Nashville, did you see us? lol... now we are somewhere in Arkansas, making good time I think, Rokkerr is driving like a madman, just passed Little Rock, already 650 miles behind us. If we can do 800 miles per day, we'll do it in 3 days easy.

We still have no where to stay, lol.. we'll keep looking on craigslist and trying to get a deal at our favorite dog friendly downtown LA hotel... and I have nothing to wear for adultcon yet either... love doing everything last minute, more fun that way... lol...

So this is a pretty good setup. We traded our corvette for a tahoe for the next two weeks, with our friend, "Trailer Park Tim", some of you have met him, he's on the friends page with Kora and in the video from the ski trip. He's getting a kick out of picking up girls in my car and we are loving his "Hoe". She's a sweet ride, very roomy, i can completely stretch out in the backseat, it's really smooth for a long trip, has built in satelite and navigation and "on-star" which is pretty funny, when you say "fuck you" it asks you to speak slower. I'm all set up here in the back, just had soup and salad from Subway, and did Sasha's and Shanda's updates... gonna work on Sunny's and Deauxma's next....

Even with obeying all rules of the road and traffic regulations, we have made excellent time! We are still in New Mexico, but will be in Arizona in about 20 minutes. We basically haven't stopped. We took turns sleeping in the back, but as usual Dave has done most of the driving, We got a speeding ticket a little while ago - why is it always New Mexico? Is that the only way this state collects any taxes? Is it month end? Do they need to make their quota? They were pulling people over left and right! It was basically a trap, there is a construction zone, with no signs of any construction at all, just some orange cones on the highway. No equipment, and no workers because it is sunday. Dave did slow down to 60, and just went with the flow of traffic. The limit here is 75. Well apparently the limit is 45 in construction zones, whether they are in use or not. To top it off the cop with the lazer gun is sitting at the bottom of a hill. They are raking in the bucks. No one stands a chance. On the last trip out to LA we got stopped in the same state!

The last speeding ticket I had was about 8 years ago. I got a radar detector the very next day and haven't got a ticket since (knock on wood). Those things work great. The ticket I got the cops were sitting at the bottom of the downgrade too with their gun all set up.
They set up those cones so you have to pay a larger fine for speeding in a construction zone. They can't go after real offenders who swerve all over the road and endanger other drivers or those who zip in and out of carpool lanes. You know what that last cop told me after he gave me my ticket? He said, "Have a better day!".
