Just for ease of reference, here is a time zone link. This week England is only 4 hours behind EDT (instead of the usual 5). If you live in Arizona, or in the Indian tribal zone (see the link)..... I have no fucking idea what time it is.

When we were in Arizona we had no idea what time it really was because people all said something different.

Probably because though Arizona is in the Mountain Time zone, they don't do Daylight Savings Time like the rest of the country. (Though the lands of the Navajo Nation in Arizona do, strangely enough.)

Why they decided not to follow the lead on DST is something only John McCain could answer. (He's old enough to know.)

DST ends for my Cajun (red)neck of the woods next weekend...looking real forward to not waking up at 7 AM to darkness. On the other hand, not quite looking so forward to darkness at 6 PM.

Haha. Dave. So funny. :lmao:  :lmao:

Yes, Anthony is correct. (Hey cool. I didn't know about the Navajo Indian reservation. But what about the Apache Indian reservation?? ... Hmmmmmmmm???!!!)

According to my sweetheart, Rachel Aziani... when in the rest of Arizona, during the end of October, the clock doesn't move back so it stays at "Mountain" time (two hours behind us here on the east coast.) They do this for five months.

In April, when we set the clocks ahead, they become 'three' hours behind (since they don't move it) to ... "Pacific" Time. This stays for seven months, until October.

As for the neighboring states, Nevada and California, the clocks move back and forth so they are constantly with us at "Pacific" Time - three hours behind us.

Does this answer your dilemma?

Yup true...

The Hoover Dam, located on the border of Arizona and Nevada, has two clocks showing times on it. At one end is the state of Arizona. The other end is in the state of Nevada.

A normal day, like today, the clock has the NV time. Let's say shown at 3:00 PM PST. The AZ time is also at 3:00 PM PST.

After we set the clocks back:

The NV time goes to 2:00 PM PDT. The AZ time stays at 3:00 PM PDT. So technically, Arizona is now in the Mountain Time zone. (Just like Colorado... Yikes!! (more confusion?? .... Haha.)

When we set the clocks ahead:

The clock that has the NV time, moves up an hour. Let's say, now shown at 3:00 PM PST. The AZ time is now also at 3:00 PM PST (they don't move it.) Arizona is now back to Pacific Time.

Enough. I know. Hehe.

As I mentioned in a thread in the Britney section about show times it would be the little tiny hours Eastern. Something like about 3am or about then. So fully out of the question, and not expected by me.

Ahead. It means for me take Eastern time, add 17 hours to it and I have my time.

For me in the UK ahead is normally 5 hours (for this week only, because of the different change times it's 4 hours)
Best for me in Eastern would be between 14.00 and 19.00.
Regretably this means that Michelle ,Sunny and now Deauxma are not in my range.

The only good thing about time changes for Daylight Saving is that we don't have it here in S-E Qld so I don't have to change my clocks. Most of the rest of Australia went onto DST on Oct 5. I don't care what time it is as long as I get to watch the VNA girls on c2c or camz every week.

HAY! Dont blame DST on the farmers, if the cows are use to being milked at sun up they want milked or fed at the same time everyday. Just ask any dairy farmer if they ever change there time. The crop farmer work's day light to dark anyway most day's and in haying season somtimes most of the nite to. What the clock say's dont mean that much to a farmer. Been there, done that.
