So we had to trek over to Miami to meet Dave's parents on friday morning at the Miami cruise ship terminal, they came in from Barcelona (yes he comes from a long line of globetrotters). Since the ship came in so early and it's 3.5 hour drive Sara Jay offered us her bedroom to sleep in thursday night... I so wanted to get there in time to be in her cam2cam with you guys, but there was traffic and construction and omg torrential rains......... it took so much longer than we expected to get there.

She was so sweet, she cooked us a meal at 11 pm at night! She is "All that" and she cooks too! We stayed up till 3:00 working on web stuff together, then at 7 am, SJ and I went out for a run in downtown Miami. It poured rain, normally I don't mind running in the rain, but it was so windy and really unpleasant. By 8:30 Dave went to get our car from the publix shoppping center parking lot where he left it the night before, and someone had thrown a brick through the side window! For no reason at all? They didn't even steal the TomTom and it was laying right there on the floor. They did rifle through the glove box, but nothing was taken. What a horrible shock, especially since his parents were waiting for us. It was a holy mess, the beaded glass was everywhere! He called the police, wanting to make a report for insurance, they wouldn't even bother to come, they said maybe they could make it in an hour, that it was really no big deal, it's so common in Miami. Great. We went to gool ole Walgreens, bought plastic and tape, picked up his parents, and drove all the way home in a huge storm like that... We are getting it fixed tomorrow...

Oh, yeouch...not a good start for your inlaws visiting...and don't they have cops in Miami??

At least not everything was bad...great to see that Sara was a great hostess.

I'm sure that Rokkerr was doing his best to behave himself and maintain control during this visit, too...too bad that you and him can't be your normal sexy selves while they are around.

Vicky & Dave,

We would have thought Publix was a safe place to park too. Welcome back to big city life. So sorry? Are you taking Dave's parents back to Sarasota for Christmas?

Best to Sara Jay for staying up and cooking for you. She will make someone a very lucky life partner someday soon! We hope she finds a relationship as great as yours and Dave's when she is ready.

Still blown away as to why some bust our car windows and make such a glass mess for us and so little for them. Last time that happened to us was sometime ago on 5th Avenue NYC. We used to often park there on Sundays and ride our bike in Central Park. What a pain in the ass the mess and all.

Merry Christmas to all,

Laura & Sue

Miss Vicky,

Secret is next time buy LOKI some Jacks or worth some Gentleman Jacks to guard the car. If LOKI a bit hung over bet she is really bad to any brick throwers that wants to rifle the glove box!

That's terrible about the car being vandalized... I'm glad nothing important was taken. Rifling through the glove box, you say? Well they were probably looking for a handgun. Most revolvers are kept in the glove box.

That was a very nice thing that Sara did for you about sleeping over and cooking for you both.

Anyway, Vicky. As I said in Dave's thread. I hope you both have a great happy Christmas. And have a awesome time with his family visiting you.

His parents are wonderful people.... it's nice that we all get along so well.... Dave and I take turns running into the bedroom just checking on things on the laptops, making sure no one needs us, seeing to members locked out by the security system, things like that... and then do the real work, like updates and marketing at night after they have gone to bed... so far so good! Don't think I'll be able to do my chat tomorrow though, we are taking them to disney/epcott...... we are going for a few days, because we'll go to the Kennedy Space Center after that... think it's about a 3 or 4 hour drive haven't mapquested it yet.......Should be fun though, it's been several years since I've been.

Vicky & Dave: Sorry about the car. Think John may be right just looking for hand guns. How fun to sneak into the bathroom to get online. When I lived in Coral Springs Fla every visitor wanted to go to Disney Epcot and must have gone like 30 + times and always great fun. It was about a 4 hour each way and that Fla highway has a toll which sucks. Only a little over an hour to the Space center from Orlando which is a must see. The WOW was we could see shuttle launches all the way down in Ft Lauderdale. Have fun and great to hear Dave's parents are with you. Hey any time to go fishing? lol

Whew! So the inlaws left yesterday! What a relief, no major meltdowns, everything went off without a hitch. After we got back from the airport, we just lounged around the house, breathing big sighs of relief, Dave yelled "Woo hoo! Back to our porn! I'm gonna leave my shit everywhere all over the house!" I took a 2 and a half hour nap.

The worst part I think was always having to be in very modest clothing. I hate wearing bras. I would never wear one in my own house, but I had to all the time. Never mind wearing a short skirt, or walking around in my nightgown. And forget naked Jacuzzi time. Having to watch our language.

It was tough, his mom kept asking me why i never got enough sleep, I was always tired and yawning. I had to say "it's because Dave snores". What could I say? "Well I wait till you go to sleep at 8:30 every night, then I update and do customer service on 8 porn sites." LOL....

Seriously, I love them, they are amazing sweet people, but I'm soooooo glad to have my house back!

Sasha,

Nothing you wear or don't wear would ever look "slutty" to us.

You are a Goddess! But know what you mean. We had prude house guests that just left so now we do not have to wait until they sleep to watch pron and had to dress "appropriately!'

Well one great part about Christmas was going to Epcott and the Kennedy Space Center. We went to Orlando for 3 days. The weather was not that great, cold, 50" and 60's, overcast and sprinkles here and there. But hey it was much better than up north, even Georgia was in the 20's and 30's so we couldn't complain too much.

In my opinion Epcott was kind of a waste. It was $89 I believe per person to get in and we only got to go on 2 rides. We stood in line for 1.5 - 2 hours for each one. The rides were only 5 min each! Then we went for coffee and to sit down..... we decided we didn't want to stand in line anymore, so went back to the hotel to check on the dogs. Once it got dark, we figured there may be less people, and the fireworks were supposed to be spectacular so we made the trek over there again. We stood in line at the norwegian pavillion for a ride through the fjords and fighting trolls for 1.5 hours. Now get this - just when we got to the front the ride broke; they closed it down and sent everyone away. :wtf: If it wasn't for bad luck we'd have none at all!

The only good thing about the norwegian pavillian was I got to visit the bakery, hehehe.... anyone know what lefse's are? They are a norwegian flatbread, Steinar could tell you more I'm sure. I have such fond memories of making it with my grandmother. Just smelling them reminds me of her. Not expensive either, the British tea shop was insanely outrageously pricey. But I got 6 lefse for about $4!

Trying to figure out how to get these pics off my blackberry, and onto the computer, guess I have to email them to myself. I'll post them in a bit!

Hey Vicky most "fun" centres like Epcott are well overpriced where ever you go...and "Olde English Tea Shoppes" are a rip off even here.

OMG! Thanks Steinar, I remember that crazy striped rolling pin too! I guess we used to get the freeze dried ones, because she would always lay them out on in between towels on the kitchen counter to moisten. Of course she still had a wringer washer too, the last time I visited her in norway! She swore by it!

Well I emailed myself the videos off my blackberry, for all the good that did! They are in .3gp file? OK so now what do I do with those? lol... anyone have a blackberry? No I never read the instructions and don't ask me to!

One of the two rides we took was called Future World or something like that, if you give them your email address they send a little vid from the pic they took as you were riding.

Not sure if it will work here, it's a quicktime file I believe.
