Anyone interested in talking Olympics? Which sport do you like? Or do you not like any of it?

I am watching Curling, between USA and Japan. I think curling is cool. You think one team has the points locked, and the other team just lays one right where it's needed. Watched some skiing yesterday. Stiffy, you watching any of it??

I haven't really watched much of it, a bit but not really. I have these 2 weeks off from school and I'm thinking of getting a bunch of friends from school to go downtown to see whats going on there. It's pretty wild out there from seeing the News. There is a Zip-line and people are waiting FOUR HOURS for a less than 30 second ride lol

The teams are made up of all stars from the differant leagues the N.H.L. the A.H.L. and from Europe. The best teams in there are Canada, U.S.A., Russia, Sweeden, Finland and Chech Republic in mens. In womens it's always between Canada and the U.S.A. all the rest suck.

Walt The Oilers suck big time, there last in the league, the NHL is shut down for two weeks

Watched Curling, skiing and skating last nite. It is always cool to watch the medal ceremonies, too. Watching Lindsey Vonn was cool. She tried valiently to not tear up during the medals ceremony and did pretty good.

Watching the medals presentations just has to give you pride, no matter what country you are from. And, when your country wins, you gotta love it. With all of the hate and anger in the world, it gives me renewed faith to know these kids are out there busting their tails to represent their countries, being and doing the best they can.

I watched the womens downhill yesterday the girl from the U.S. kicked ass. That course is horrible so much ice I don't know how many girls took really bad falls. Thankfully none were hurt to bad.

I agree with you about watching the medal presentations, they all put so much effort into everything and to stand and get the gold makes all thier effort and dreams come true!

Mike Eurzione? Jim Craig? Neal Broten? Dave Silk? Ken Morrow? Mark Pavelich? Yes Lake Placid 1980. That was the last time I really watched the Winter Olympics in pretty much its entirety. And forget the Summer Olympics... I haven't really watched that since 1984 in Los Angeles...

In my younger days yes. But not now. Today, I have other interests.

Bode Miller has come back and have you seen Julie Mancuso? The downhill and slaloms are great especially the wipe-outs!

I think the girls snowboards are in another world and essentially choked although they pulled down silver and bronze....

Curling was about to have USA exit until they changed the Skip.

Then you have a number of them in the swim suit edition of sports illustrated, like Lindsey Vonn... and they are giving her crap about the cheesecake photos... hell u see more on MTV!

Who know this other than our bad jebby?

For greatest athletes on earth, flirting comes naturally: 100,000 condoms!!!
Cold days, hot nights: Olympic Village secrets

Don't knock Curling! Below is what they really all about and Walt a huge fan! :lmao:

The U.S. Curling Association has its own official condom: “Hurry Hard,” named for a phrase curlers cry to encourage faster ice-sweeping. Vancouver organizers have stocked the Olympic Village with 100,000 condoms — 14 for every resident.

This is for REAL! Walt, check the nose, handle, HARD on and tongue on the logo!

Hey LJS - Didn't I see this rock in play with that team that was wearing those whacky pajama pants.... Talk about a departure from the black pants...

Then again, I wonder what the koreans will bitch about now that Ohno took bronze! If he hadn't gotten pushed on the butt at the turn he wouldn't have lost speed.. surprisingly he didn't hit the boards on that one..but the run was lost.

From a medal count, ok 7 but in noway can they say he is the greatest olympian compared to Bonnie Blair who had 5 gold & 1 Silver.. 2, 2, 3 for apollo is good but let's not fall overboard.

Really impressed by those sweepers as that is hard work...

:cheerleader:
Hey we got a GOLD medal at the Winter Olympics..the first individual for 30 years. Amy Williams on the skeleton bob, what a crazy game that is,the nation is in disbelief ..but tremendous from Amy ..and spiteful from Canada with the objections to her helmet, especially as they restricted other nations practising on the course.

I guess you heard of the guy who went home, trio? Seems someone took a picture of some girl kissing his medal while it hung in front of his crotch, then posted it on the web. How difficult is it to remember that, if you are in a position of 'reknown,' someone is there with a camera to take you down? (Michael Blair smoking a bong??)

Right you are Walt but Phelps didn't have the gold medals around his neck as this moron did... One too many shooters... Snow boards are just overall a strange breed...

Right now watching the prelims on ski cross... that is going to be one wild set of semi and the finals.... where 4 race and three will get medals.

I am still partial to Eddie the Eagle (the british ski jumper) who finished dead last and has the Eddie Rule created after him... The Vancouver Olympic Committee had him carry the torch up there nonetheless.

Spot on :stiffy: or as the article quotes; “It’s eye candy all the time. Everybody’s checking everybody else out from moment they get there,” recalled Cammi Granato, captain of the powerful U.S. Ice Hockey Team that won gold in Nagano in 1998 and silver in 2002 in Salt Lake City."

Good thing they sequester those NBA Stars away from the village but there are still the after parties once the events are over... except perhaps in Bode Miller's case last time around.
