Ithaca, NY is not that far upstate in terms of being near near Canada. It's about an hour and a half south of Syracuse, NY. It is famous for being the home of Cornell University and Ithaca College, it is unbelievably gorgeous and scenic, and it is a weird mixture of everything basically.

Most people do not know this but there is a buddhist monastary here in Ithaca where Courtney Love is storing some of Kurt Cobain's ashes after his unfortunate demise. That's kind of an interesting if morbid factoid.

Ithaca is centrally isolated about four hours out of NYC - 1.5 hours south of Syracuse, which is dead smack in the geographic middle of New York state.

so I guess roger won't be coming to see me at Scandals in NY then.

Hi Vicky, I wanted to tell you that I love your site. I met you back in OCtober last year while I was home on R&R from Iraq in cali at the spearmint rhino. mY name is John, we tried to set up a show with me in uniform and what not, but it never went through due tot he fact there was no video equipment. I hope you remember that, If not then its Ok, well I am back home from Iraq and I live in Phenix City which is about an hour south of atlanta, ga. Anyways, I am tryingto figure out how to send you the pic I have of us at the rhino when I was home but havnet mestered this site yet, any tricks would help great. But I am sorry about the death of your husband and all. I didnt know him per say but met him when I met you and he seemed to be a good individual. Well whenever you can write me back I would be more than happy to hear from you. Have a wonderful day, and I hope we can still do that show together, maybe as a welcome home things or something, I have plenty of uniforms, hehe. Anyways, talk to you later kiddo.
