I was never really into the throat-tearing heavy metal. This comedian that I first saw on "8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown" apparently likes it, though.

Haha, that video was in my youtube recommendations list a while ago, I liked it.

My favorite genre is symphonic metal (that's the one with a female singer and it's often quite theatrical) and Power-Metal (adventures, witches, werewolves, yay😂)and I also like melodic-death-metal (that's death metal where you can at least somewhat understand the lyrics lol and there's a melody), but I also like it when there's a combination of growls and clean-vocals in one song.
(Especially when a woman does the growls and a man does the singing)

The Swan Lake song was beautiful. All the rest were spoiled for me by the growling, regardless of who is doing it.
But, another trip to "September" plus "Dooley" took care of it.

The music is nice, and I enjoy the theatrics, but the growling thing bugs me for some reason. I have two old favorites by Rob Zombie, but I don't think he really crosses the line into growling. What category would you put these in?
I love "Dragula" ever since I've heard it in Matrix for the first time! Wikipedia says it's Industrial Metal, whatever that means lol.

If the growling bugs you, I won't try to convince you how awesome it is lol, if you don't like it, you don't like it. There are some types of music that other people love, that I just don't get and have a hard time listening to.
Having too much sex can cause memory loss. I read that on page 69 in a medical journal on the 4th of May in 2008.

I agree with CaribbeanZack. That was well said.

I haven't been able to find a clip from The Matrix that used Dragula. I did find a fan-generated version that did. Did I miss it?

Thanks for the great Dragula meme!

Also, I like your new avatar! I hope the lady on the right gets to perform her demonstration.

Regarding (I Just) Died In Your Arms, I was never a big fan of that song. Just kind of "meh". Therefore, the remake wins by virtue of the pole dancer!

Regarding You Should Be Sad, the singer is very pretty!

For me, the song that expresses your sentiment is Close My Eyes Forever

If we're talking about music and beautiful women, try these two!

The first one contains growling, so if that bothers you, watch it muted. :goodpost:

The second one can apparently only be watched on YouTube, if you watch it, you'll understand why. :yeahbaby:

I just like the way the video was done. Lots of well-known folks in it, too, including, Gene Simmons, Billy Gibbons, Paul Teutul of Orange County Choppers and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. I'm sure that others are well known to some of you.

Thank you for bringing up Rob Zombie! I used my music app to look for his music and ended up listening to a lot of music I totally forgot about.
I really enjoyed that.

Not sure if I would like the movie. In my limited world of 'acceptance,' I'd label this one "Watchable," lol. Why? I like the music.

You're welcome! I love when that happens as well. I imagine most radio markets have a similar segment, but locally there is a station that has a "Found Favorites" slot. They play listener suggestions for songs that were hits but for some reason don't get airplay anymore on most oldies stations.

Thank you for telling me where Dragula was in The Matrix. I don't think I knew of the song when I saw the movie, and since I was focused on the plot I don't think the music registered.
